3 Minute Mug Cakes 4-Ways

Dorm room delights! Enjoy these Mug Cakes inspired by Life of the Party starring Melissa McCarthy, in cinemas May 10.

Choc Hazelnut

Ingredients:

● 4 Tbsp flour

● 3 Tbsp sugar

● 2 Tbsp cocoa powder

● 1⁄2 Tsp baking powder

● 3 Tbsp milk

● 1 Tbsp oil, vegetable or canola

● 1 Tsp vanilla extract

● 1 Tbsp chocolate hazelnut spread, plus more for topping

● powdered sugar, for topping, optional

Method:

1. In a mug (375ml), mix all ingredients (except the chocolate hazelnut spread) until just combined.

2. Once combined, spoon the chocolate hazelnut spread on top of the batter.

3. Microwave on high for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, watching to make sure it doesn’t spill

over (depending on the size of the mug).

4. Let cool one minute before eating. Top with additional chocolate hazelnut spread and

powdered sugar (optional).

Birthday Cake

Ingredients:

● 4 Tbsp flour

● 3 Tbsp sugar

● 1⁄2 Tsp baking powder

● 2 Tbsp sprinkles, plus additional for topping

● 3 Tbsp milk

● 1 Tbsp oil

● 2 Tsp vanilla extract

● whipped topping, for topping, optional

Method:

1. In a mug (375ml), mix all ingredients until just combined.

2. Microwave on high for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, watching to make sure it doesn’t spill

over (depending on the size of the mug).

3. Let cool one minute before eating. Top with whipped topping and sprinkles (optional).

Strawberry Cake

Ingredients:

● 4 Tbsp flour

● 3 Tbsp sugar

● 1⁄2 Tsp baking powder

● 2 strawberries, diced

● 3 Tbsp milk

● 1 Tbsp oil

● 1 Tsp vanilla extract

● 1 strawberry, for topping, optional

● whipped topping, for topping, optional

Method:

1. In a mug (375ml), mix all ingredients until just combined.

2. Microwave on high for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, watching to make sure it doesn’t spill

over (depending on the size of the mug).

3. Let cool one minute before eating. Top with whipped topping and a strawberry (optional).

Cookies and Cream

Ingredients:

● 4Tbspflour

● 3 Tbsp sugar

● 1⁄2 Tsp baking powder

● 2 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed, plus additional for topping

● 3 Tbsp milk

● 1 Tbsp oil

● 1 Tsp vanilla extract

● icing, for topping, optional

Method:

1. In a mug (375ml), mix all ingredients until just combined.

2. Microwave on high for 90 seconds to 2 minutes, watching to make sure it doesn’t spill

over (depending on the size of the mug).

3. Let cool one minute before eating. Top with icing and cookie crumbs (optional). 4. Enjoy!
