Make it for your winter celebrations with the help of the LG ProBake Convection Oven.by LG USABrand PublisherFacebookPinterestTwitterMailLink BuzzFeed Servings: 8INGREDIENTS:2 tablespoons olive oil3 cloves garlic, minced10 ounces lacinato kale, stems removed and roughly chopped4 scallions, thinly sliced½ cup creme fraiche ¾ teaspoon kosher salt¼ teaspoon ground pepper 2 sheets puff pastry1 salmon fillet, approximately 1 ½ pounds1 egg, beaten BuzzFeed Preparation:1.Preheat oven to 350ºF (325ºF for convection).2.Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sizzle for 1 minute. Add kale and scallions and wilt down. Stir in creme fraiche, kosher salt, and ground pepper. Let kale cook down for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside. 3.On a lightly floured surface, roll out both sheets of puff pastry into rectangles that are approximately 2 inches larger on each side than the salmon fillet. 4.Place one of the sheets on a parchment lined sheet tray. Cut off an inch wide strip from each long side of the pastry sheet and set both strips aside to use later for decoration. 5.Arrange salmon on top of the pastry, like a picture inside a frame. Sprinkle salmon with kosher salt and ground pepper. Arrange kale in an even layer on top of the salmon. 6.Brush beaten egg along the edges of the pastry. Place the second rolled out pastry sheet on top of the salmon. Use a fork to crimp the two layers of pastry together along all edges. Tuck each edge slightly under the salmon (if the crimp marks can no longer be seen, gently press the fork into pastry to give the edges more of a crimped look). 7.Brush a long strip of egg wash across the middle of the pastry (going the long way). Use the two reserved pastry strips to create a simple twisted braid along the strip of egg wash. Brush the entire pastry (including the braid) with egg wash.8.Place in oven and cook for 20 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and fish is cooked through.9.Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
