What's Coming This First Half Of 2018?

After Camila Cabello's "Camila", Cupcakke's "Ephorize" and Justin Timberlake's "Man of the Woods" the musical level this year is set high. But what can we look forward to in the next few months?

Kendrick Lamar: Black Panther - Soundtrack

"Black Panther" became a movie everybody talked about, even before it came out. Why? The Diversity. "Black Panther" features nearly only people of color and leave no room for racist to undermine them. The soundtrack follows it's movie casting and is sung by mostly POC's. I think it's worth a listening, not only because of the diversity, but also because of the voices.

Vance Joy: Nation Of Two

"Riptide" became Vance Joy's international breakthrough, following 2014 with his debut album "Dream Your Life Away". Yet fast afterwards it got silent around the australian singer-songwriter. After releasing the first single of his album, "Lay It On Me", he recently shared the nostalgic ballad "Like Gold". With describing this album as "a perfectly self-contained couple", it sounds like it could give us the love feeling, we need in the upcoming spring.

Calum Scott: Only Human

Oh, who doesn't remember Calum's beautiful cover of the 2010 pop song "Dancing On My Own" by Robyn. From the dance track up to a tragic ballad and with that coming an international breakthrough. Luckily Calum didn't loose his voice and after releasing the single "You Are The Reason" (2017) he comes with his debut album "Only Human".

Hayley Kiyoko: Expectations

Former Disney Star Hayley Kiyoko surprised not many people when she came out as a lesbian in 2016. After releasing the music video "Girls Like Girls" (which caused a major tumblr awakening, because she wasn't sexualizing lesbians) and her fans calling her "lesbian jesus", she announced a new album. With her music she not only calls on sexualities but normalizes them. Some Disney ex-stars go the wrong way, but damn Hayley, you took the right turn.

Kylie Minogue: Golden

I just can't get her out of my head! Get it? It's been a few years since Kylie released an album, but this year she celebrates it golden. WIth already released songs like "Dancing", she kicks into the new year in her own way. And although she has the Order of the British Empire, I will never forget her voice singing "The Locomotion".

Charlie Puth: Voicenotes

Attention people! Charlie Puth is releasing another album after his 2016 debut "Nine Track Mind". Let's buckle up for some heartbreaking good ballads like "One Call Away" or sexy love songs e.g. "Marvin Gaye". I am really looking forward to it and hoping it won't break my heart. Hope to see you again, Charles!
