A street artist named Smear Leader took credit for defacing a mural honoring Bill Cosby on the side of a famous fast food restaurant in Washington, D.C.
Smear Leader posted a photo of the defaced mural to Instagram on Monday referring to Ben's Chili Bowl restaurant as "Kim's Chili Bowl."
"Instead of looking at a sexual predator," they wrote. "People can celebrate in jubilation that the great leader is now on the their Wall. Eat shit Cosby."
Smear Leader told BuzzFeed News on Monday evening that they placed the Kim Jong-un sticker over Cosby's face because "Bill has to fuckin go."
"What this company did is an outrage," said Smear Leader in a Facebook message to BuzzFeed News. "Instead of standing up and confronting him just like every other production company did and dropping him, they said they would look into it and did nothing."
Ben's Chili Bowl appeared to be distancing itself from Cosby in July. It had removed a picture of the actor from inside its U Street restaurant, but then said Cosby would have "a presence" in the grand opening of a new location.
"This is to raise awareness to get the Cosby head taken down," said Smear Leader. "Because while some see a pudding eating, sweater, wearing, dancing doctor, victims of REAL sexual assault have to walk by that every day."
A spokesperson from Ben's Chili Bowl was not available for comment to BuzzFeed News.
