How Visiting Home Changes During The College Years

Home-home, that is. College pulls your heart in different directions. Keep a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro 2 in 1 Laptop by your side to stay connected near and far.

When you arrive on move-in day, you hug your parents as if your entire life has led to this moment.

But right when you turn around, you're all, "Let's do this thang!"

Within two weeks, you're desperate for a trip home.

You even consider the perks of dropping out.

Gilmore Girls is on Netflix. Well college was fun while it lasted, now I need to drop out and watch Netflix full time.

With courage, you pace your way to Thanksgiving.

It's awesome. Your entire family comes to pick you up.

Your parents take way too many pictures.

You hang with friends from high school. They're a little sad too, but it's no big deal.

And when it's over, you slowly creep back to campus.

But then you go back home for winter break two weeks later!!!!

And this time... it's kinda awk.

To assert your independence, you declare that you are done with trips home for a while.

You plan a spring break that's a little more... freeing.

And you realize that summer trips can be more fun when your parents aren't watching.

Not going home as frequently makes you sad at times...

...but the existence of video chat makes your parents bizarrely happy.

Over the next three years, you find comfort in devising surprise trips home...

...during which you now avoid people from high school...

...and only surprise those people who really matter.

Returning to campus, you realize you have people in both places.

And whereas you once thought an entire caravan of belongings was necessary to bring to campus...

...you return for senior year with only the bare necessities.

Enjoy time at home and at school with the Lenovo Yoga 3 2 in 1 laptop. Its heart lives in two places at once, too.
