Literally do not understand what the difference is. If I want to heat the water why would I HAVE to use a kettle when the microwave is quicker and cleaner since I don't have to clean out a kettle later. I seriously do not understand the issue.

For the love...in the middle of labor and delivery is NO time to be shaming this mom or doing the whole "how could you possibly not know?!?!" thing. Support her, get that baby out, and care for them both. Later on those questions can be discussed. So happy they're ok.
