The town of Taber Alberta has decided to follow in the footsteps of the town from footloose. The new bylaws have now put fines on spitting, swearing, gathering, noise, and we can only assume any forms of dancing and rock n' roll music. Gatherings of three or more people are expected to "disturb the peace" and will be broken up immediately. Scolding your children in public a little too loud can result in a fine, and you better hope you don't slam your finger and drop an F bomb.
Parents can also be fined if their kids are caught outside after the new curfew. It's like they learned nothing from the "Wild Barts Can't be Broken" episode of The Simpsons.
I wonder how fast some of us would go broke living in a town like this.
