What's On After Easter

How quick has this year flown by? We're heading in to final term which inevitably means its revision time again. But before that begins, we've got a jam packed 2 weeks of sporting action to keep the exam blues at bay

26th April - Christie Championships

Running for 131 years, the second oldest varsity in the country, Leeds take on Manchester and Liverpool in this three way Varsity. We're hosting this year's Christie Champs so intend to show the other uni's just how we do things at Leeds.

29th April - Alumni Sports Day

Welcome back our sporting alumni for a bank holiday weekend of fun. Current students take on graduates in this annual battle held at Sports Park Weetwood, The Edge and The Gryphon Centre on April 30th!

30th April - American Football Varsity

Next up in the Varsity series, our Gryphons head up to Sports Park Weetwood for a clash with Carnegie. There'll be a raffle, refreshments, and a great game of sport to watch. Don't worry, we will help you out with the rules if you're not up to speed on your American Football.

3rd May - Sports Colours Awards

This is the evening our teams ditch their tracksuits for black tie and head to The Refectory to celebrate the sporting success's of the year. Our Club, Full, Gryphon and White Rose winners have been announced and our top awards shortlists are up online. Join us on May 3rd to find out who's won, definitely a night to remember!

3rd May - Social Leagues Varsity

Our Social League teams battle it out in semesters 1 & 2 to claim the top spot here at Leeds. This Victory secures them a place in the annual Social League Varsity against Beckett. It's always a close finish which Beckett managed to sneak last year, but we intend to get the title back this year!

5th May - Twenty20 Cricket Varsity

If you've never been to 20:20, get yourself down to Sports Park Weetwood to watch not 1, but 2 games of fast paced, exciting cricket. There's food, drinks and we'll sort you out with run cards and some basic rules so you know what's going on! Summer Varsity doesn't get much better than this.

11th May - Whiddington Cup

Loved the T20 cricket varsity and fancy getting involved in your own cricket 20:20 bash? The Whiddington cup is an annual tournament in which anyone can enter a team. Taking place at Sports Park Weetwood this is a great day away from exam stress. For more info email [e-mail]
