Any Game of Thrones fan can tell you that every week of the show is a crazy-emotional roller coaster, full of people scheming and fighting and dying (and not-dying). Watching is even better when you do it with friends (so you can freak out together) and it's the BEST when you do it with friends and fancy themed cocktails.
Go ahead and try some of these drink recipes next Sunday night; Tyrion would want you to.
1. The Promised Prince

When the Red Priestess brings you back to life, you're gonna need something strong and spicy to cope with the fact that you're still stuck up on the Wall. This one will leave you gasping for breath. No shirt required.

1 oz spiced rum
0.5 oz Fernet-Branca
3 oz crème de cacao
1 oz Guinness
Optional: black food coloring
Add spiced rum, Fernet-Branca, crème de cacao, and the optional black food coloring to cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 20 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass and top with Guinness.

Dragon fruit is a crazy-looking cactus that's indigenous to the Americas, but you can find it in most Asian supermarkets. To prepare, cut off the ends of the fruit and slice off the thick skin. Cube fruit. Although the skin of the dragon fruit is insanely colorful, the fruit is more mild with a bit of sweetness. Think of it as an alcoholic smoothie where the gin is the star.

1/2 dragon fruit
0.5 oz lime juice
0.5 oz simple syrup
1.5 oz gin
Add dragon fruit to cocktail shaker and muddle with lime juice. Add simple syrup, gin, and ice, and shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Strain into rocks glass. Garnish with dragon fruit.
3. The Bloody Bastard

After a long hunting trip you'll be ready to unwind with one of these in one hand and a knife in the other. Peel back the skin on the oranges to get to all the juicy bits. Leave the rest for the dogs.

1 oz lime juice
2 oz reposado tequila
1 oz simple syrup or agave syrup
Rub the rim of a glass with lime, and dip in salt to salt the rim. Add everything to a shaker filled with ice and shake for 20 seconds. Add a few ice cubes to your glass. Strain cocktail into glass. Garnish with blood orange slices.

Chilled champagne or other sparkling wine
Optional: edible gold glitter
Add Goldschläger to collins glass, and top with champange. Gently stir in edible gold glitter.

You may have grown up with milkshakes, but you're a badass lady boss now and you still have some people on your list. While sneaking some Guinness and Kaluha in won't make you blind, it could have you seeing the Many-Faced God.

2 oz Kahlua
Add Guinness to a beer mug, add scoops of vanilla ice cream, and top with Kahlua and chocolate syrup. Garnish with cherries.

2 oz gin
tonic water
Muddle two slices of lemon in the bottom of a glass. Add ice, limoncello, and gin. Top with tonic. Garnish with lemon peel.

Jalapeno Simple Syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 jalapeno, cut lengthwise, seeds removed
Cocktail
3 oz grapefruit juice
2 oz mezcal
1 oz Campari
0.5 oz jalapeno simple syrup
In a small sauce pan, over medium heat, heat sugar and 1 cup water until sugar dissolves. Add jalapeño. Let sit for at least one hour or overnight, depending on your spice preference. Combine grapefruit juice, mezcal, Campari, and jalapeño simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 20 seconds. Strain into glass.

To make simple syrup, just heat equal parts sugar and water until fully dissolved, then cool.
2 oz whiskey
1 oz lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
Red wine such as cabernet sauvignon
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously. Add a few ice cubes to a rocks glass and strain cocktail into glass. Gently pour the wine over the back of a spoon so it floats on top.
