This Airline Brought A Christmas Miracle To Fort McMurray And It'll Make You Happy Cry

    No, YOUR heart is warmed.

Every year, WestJet pulls off a heartwarming Christmas stunt that makes Canadians weep, and this year is no different.

For their 2016 "Christmas Miracle," the airline went to Fort McMurray, the northern Alberta town ravaged by wildfires last summer.

WestJet interviewed locals who described having to escape amid flames and smoke. Many lost their homes and everything in them.

“All of the hills were on fire. So you were just driving into fire," said one person.

Although most Fort McMurrians have returned to the city, they're still picking up the pieces. So with all that in mind, WestJet threw a Snowflake Soiree to bring some cheer.

They shared it all in a video, narrated like 'Twas The Night Before Christmas: “The town needed to know that while things may seem rotten, this too shall pass, they have not been forgotten.”

The party included a photo booth...

But what they didn't know was that WestJet employees were busy behind the scenes turning those portraits into gifts.

That is, until they were told to go outside and look up.

And they saw hundreds of little parcels parachuting down from the sky.

    One for each family.

Inside was a Christmas ornament, handmade by the employees, along with a free airline ticket for each family member.

WestJet also has a special connection to Fort Mac — during the fires, the airline was one of several that ran special flights to get evacuees and their pets to safety.

And then in case you weren't crying yet, everyone came together to sing "Silent Night." 😭

Grab some tissues, and watch it all go down.
