I've been slowly fixing up my home and will occasionally have a TON of garbage on collection day. Those days I'll leave a little tip and some gatorade bottles. It's more of a small bribe than a tip though...

Sanitation jobs are one of the most coveted jobs in NYC. Great pay, great benefits, great pension. Good luck trying to get in if you don't know someone already in the union (best bet is if you have family in the union).
