U OK, Dave?

The Tory party was quick to express that it is not Jeremy Corbyn's biggest fan when his Labour leadership victory was announced on Saturday – and on Sunday morning, Tory leader David Cameron added his two pennies' worth.

The Labour Party is now a threat to our national security, our economic security and your family's security.

Following new deputy Labour leader Tom Watson's appearance on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show, where he discussed Corbyn's views in favour of nuclear disarmament, prime minister David Cameron said that this new incarnation of the Labour party is "a threat to our national security, our economic security, and your family's security".

A lot of people told him to "piss off".

@David_Cameron scared much? Piss off Spoonface!

@David_Cameron Oh for crying out loud, piss off.

While some varied their profanity creatively...

@David_Cameron Shit off you ham mannequin.

...others responded more politely to Cameron's statement.

@David_Cameron Oh get a grip, you silly man.

"@David_Cameron: Labour is now a threat to our national security, our economic security and your family's security."

Because sometimes, memes speak louder than words.

The Tories, some felt, pose their own set of threats.

Um, @David_Cameron no, your welfare policies are a threat to my family's security, and the future of the NHS. You Tories are the threat.

@David_Cameron you're a threat to the underprivileged, disabled and all involved in the creative arts you absolute waste of energy.

Although there was some agreement that Labour could indeed be a threat.

@David_Cameron The Labour party is now a threat to a dying group of elitist dinosaurs hell bent on taking us all to the edge of extinction.

David Cameron's statement was also widely shared on Facebook...

...where the sentiment was much the same.

Prime Minister's Questions is going to be fun.
