More Than 20 Injured After Double-Decker Bus Crashes Into Railway Bridge

Five people were taken to hospital and 21 people were treated at the scene, London Fire Brigade said.

Five people were taken to hospital after a double-decker bus crashed into a railway bridge in Tottenham, north London, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to St Loys Road at around 4am, where the bus was trapped under the bridge.

A crew of 15 firefighters cut the top off the bus to free three people who had become trapped on its upper deck, the London Fire Brigade said in a statement.

Metropolitan police, Network Rail, and the London Ambulance Service also attended the scene, where 21 people were treated for their injuries.

Police believe nobody has been seriously injured. "Their injuries are described as not life-threatening and not life-changing," a police spokesperson said.
