    Whoopi Goldberg Is Suspended From "The View" For Two Weeks After Her Comments About The Holocaust

    Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended from The View after backlash following her comments about the Holocaust.

    CNN reports that ABC News has suspended the talk show's co-host for two weeks following her comments, as well as her subsequent apology.

    “Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments," ABC News president Kim Godwin said in a statement announcing the suspension.

    "While Whoopi has apologized, I've asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments. The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family and communities."

    As previously mentioned, Goldberg also issued an apology after her remarks on Monday.
