The comedian and actor recently revealed that she married art curator Ben Shattuck on New Year's Eve, right before 2022 kicked off.
Slate broke the news to Marie Claire, and she also detailed the events that led to their intimate ceremony in their own home.
The profile reveals that Slate and Shattuck got married in their living room after their previous three attempts at having a wedding were derailed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"We were planning on a [wedding] that ended up being almost 200 people," she said, further explaining that they ended up inviting close friends and family only — six friends each.
"I actually like it," she said of her Shattuck's eventual wedding plans. "I like it better. I didn't realize how the large thing was making me feel uncomfortable, a little bit. Just a little.”
Slate and Shattuck got engaged back in September 2019. Last year, they welcomed their first child together. And now they're married! Congratulations!
