Giorgina McKay

I've had my fair share of great desserts in my life including a Ferrero Rocher waffle and a crazy Cookies 'n Creme shake, but none that can top this one. The 20k Nutella Shake from 50sixone is absolutely massive, and in the end, we couldn't finish all of it! We were in a food coma for hours! Definitely worth it though. —Giorgina McKay

11. Cookie on a Cloud — Jacob Lake Inn in Fredonia, AZ

@arielelise / Via

People travel from all around to try these cookies. My personal favorite? The Cookie on a Cloud. It's a chocolate cookies topped with a marshmallow and chocolate icing. It's magical. Every single cookie they sell is actually magical. I don't know if it's the combination of spending the day at the Grand Canyon before you get there with the incredible fresh air, but the experience of eating cookies at this inn is my favorite in the world. —oliviah24

12. Milk Chocolate Panna Cotta — Clyde's of Chevy Chase in Chevy Chase, MD

Sydney Jr

The panna cotta was silky smooth with caramelized hazelnuts on top, and a raspberry sauce around it. The little dollop of fresh made whipped cream was a great counterpoint to the dark chocolate shortbread cookie with it. I fully admit, after eating every bite, I licked the plate clean and told the waiter it was the best dessert I'd ever eaten. It still is. —sydneyjr

16. Knafeh — Dayi'nin Yeri in Cliffside Park, NJ

Laura W

It looks super weird but this is honestly the best dessert I've ever had anywhere. It's sweet, it's savoury, it's melty, and crunchy, and soft. It pairs well with strong Turkish coffee or tea. I make it a point to order it everywhere it's offered and Dayi'nin Yeri makes it the best. —lauraw46eada90b

19. Hawaiian Kona Chocolate Soufflé — Victoria and Albert's in Orlando, FL

@2sheh / Via

I was skeptical at first (I am someone who appreciates good food, but have trouble justifying the cost of "fancy" places to myself when I enjoy cheap stuff just as much), but wow. They serve it piping hot, and then give you a little pitcher of thick, rich, steaming chocolate coffee sauce to pour. I am not typically a dessert person... I enjoy it, but I gravitate towards savory more. But this was incredible. —Dora Breckinridge, Facebook

21. Tiramisu Pancakes — Hen House Eatery in Minneapolis, MN

@brownchickeats / Via

It's sort of dessert and sort of breakfast, but the best dessert-y thing I've ever had is the Tiramisu Pancakes from Hen House Eatery in Minneapolis. They're coffee pancakes with a ton of chocolate syrup and mascarpone cheese on top, and they're very rich but definitely worth it. — Lauren Crabtree, Facebook

22. Rosemary and Mexican Vanilla Crème brûlée — Los Danzantes in Oaxaca City, Mexico

@naditadf / Via

The rosemary made me hesitate to order it, not because I don't like rosemary, but because I wondered how it would taste in a sweet dish. The result was divine. The vanilla and the rosemary created a nuanced flavor in the custard that I've never experienced before or since. — Cate Brubaker, Facebook

26. Guava Turnover — The Columbia in Tampa, FL

@columbiarestaurant / Via

Fluffy layers of puff pastry lovingly wrapped around guava paste and sweet cheese. It's served in a puddle of vanilla cream sauce with guava coulis. Amazing. My daughter says their churros are also amazing and come with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce and guava sauce for dipping, in case you needed more convincing. —Andrea Lewis, Facebook
