16 Activities Down Under That Are Perfect If You're A Lazy Person

These really don't require a lot of energy, I promise!

1. Enjoy the sunset at Branco's lookout.

This peaceful spot in the El Questro Wilderness Park offers a stunning view across the whole valley. You can sip on a glass of wine while watching the sun set. The best part: You can take your 4WD up the hill and don't have to walk at all.

2. Chill at the best beach in Australia.

What’s better than lazing around the beach on a holiday? Lazing around Whitehaven Beach, which was voted the best beach in Australia, as well as one of the top 10 beaches in the whole world. There really isn’t a better beach to chill at while you're Down Under.

3. Watch the sunrise at the beach with kangaroos.

This beach in the Cape Hillsborough Nature Tourist Park is the perfect location to get up close and personal with one of Australia's most iconic animals, while watching the sunrise at the same time. Do nothing and enjoy the view. How's the serenity?

4. Take a scenic flight over the Bungle Bungles.

The best way to explore Purnululu National Park is definitely by air. And the only thing you have to do is to sit back and enjoy the scenery. It's breathtakingly beautiful.

5. Get a massage at the Night Markets in Cairns.

The Night Markets in Cairns have everything a lazy dog can dream of: shops, beauty spas, and food stalls. Get a massage or try the fish spa, and treat yourself with churros afterwards.

6. Enjoy a day on Fitzroy Island.

This little island is just 45 minutes away from Cairns by boat and has some beautiful beaches to discover. Take a short swim, go snorkelling, or do absolutely nothing and chill in the sunshine.

7. Spend the day in the infinity pool at the Lake Argyle Resort and Caravan Park.

Not only is this pool a great location for the perfect Instagram shot, but it also offers an amazing view across Lake Argyle. Just hang around the water and soak up all the beauty of the landscape.

8. Sit back and watch a movie at Sun Pictures in Broome.

Who would have thought that the oldest outdoor cinema is in a little town in the north-west of Australia? Relax in your seat, grab some popcorn, and watch a modern movie in a historical place.

9. Take a boat cruise on the Ord River and Lake Kununurra.

Sit back and enjoy the breeze in your face while cruising around on the water. The best time to do it is in the afternoon, when the sun is setting and the water is as flat as a mirror. You will just be in awe and stare at the beautiful sky. Kimberley sunsets are honestly the best.

10. Take a dip in the Spa Pool in Cardwell.

This natural waterhole gets its blue colour from minerals in the ground. But don’t worry, you don’t need to hike for ages to be able to enjoy the water. All you need to do is take a quick stroll and then you're already there!

11. Or in the warm pools of Zebedee Springs in the Kimberley.

After a short walk from the car park, a whole new world opens up and you feel like you have found paradise. The water is 28 to 30 degrees all year round and there are different little pools in which you can just relax and restore.

12. Go glamping in Tasmania and sit by the bonfire.

You want a time out from all the hustle bustle in the city, but don't want to miss out on a little luxury? Then you should go glamping in Tasmania! Instead of doing all the work that you normally have to do when camping, you can just move into a tent with a big comfy bed, that is already set up. Easy, isn't it?

13. Watch the colours change during sunset at Cable Beach in Broome.

What's better than being at the beach? Watching the sun set over the ocean, and Cable Beach is the perfect location! The colours change within minutes, leaving a stunning picture. One of the laziest ways to end a wonderful day!

14. Do a helicopter pub crawl.

Instead of driving or walking from pub to pub, you actually fly in a helicopter! All you need to do is sit back, drink your beer, and take in the beautiful nature of the Top End!

15. Watch the surfers at Surfers Paradise.

Instead of just spending the day at the beach, why not laze around there while watching surfers? It can be pretty amusing as well as impressive watching the people catch the waves.

16. Spend a night on Lady Elliot Island.

This little island off the shore of Bundaberg is only 45 hectares, and is also home to a small eco resort. Leave the stress behind and allow yourself some lazy time at the pool or the beach, or discover the Great Barrier Reef. No matter what you do, you will be totally at peace afterwards.
