Easter the time of year we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and ask the Easter bunny to bring us chocolate eggs. We look at 10 things you didn't know about Easter. Now that's something to get Eggcited about.

In the Czech Republic the men get given a special whip to swat the women they like with. In return the women give the men a decorated egg a fist full of cash and a shot of whisky. Sounds like a fair trade.

Apparently some people think its a good idea to die chicks different colors for Easter. Although now banned in most of the US its still a popular choice for some.

In Norway its tradition to sit down with the family and indulge in watching murder mysteries on TV with the whole family. Also Everything is shut for the whole week.

Although your probably no stranger to the odd Easter egg hunt, I bet you didnt know the largest one ever to take place was in Florida where nearly 10,000 children searched for 500,000 eggs. I bet that took some time.

The UK celebrates Easter with a fruitcake which i hear isn't done anywhere else. Don't knock it until you've tried it.

It was tradition for a priest to throw a hard boiled egg at one of the choir boys, they would then throw the egg to one and other and whoever had the egg when the clock struck 12 got to keep it. I don't know what that has to do with a potato or Easter but OK.
