Netflix Just Released "The Man From Toronto" Trailer And I Have Lots Of Questions

As a man from Toronto, I have questions.

Netflix just released the trailer for their new buddy cop comedy, The Man From Toronto, and it's safe to say that Toronto being in the title is a pretty loose plot point.

Kevin Hart plays Teddy, a man who gets in over his head when he visits an Airbnb and gets mistaken for a deadly assassin played by Woody Harrelson.

Woody appears to be the actual man from Toronto and must team up with Kevin Hart to defeat the bad guys.

The only problem is Teddy isn't really a big fan of blood and violence which leads to some incidents that could put the mission in jeopardy.

Now, being a man from Toronto myself, I was excited for the city to get more international attention, but from what I can tell, they don't actually do a lot with the city besides repeating the phrase "the man from Toronto" over and over again.

Speaking of which, the amount of mispronunciation of "Toronto" (with a hard second T) is astounding. It's Turrono my friends. Iykyk.

The city still gets a bit of a wink and a nod with a lot of the scenes being filmed in and around the Greater Toronto Area including the CBC Broadcast Centre downtown.

The Man From Toronto premieres June 24 on Netflix. You can watch the full trailer below.

Should we all get over the fact that unless you're a local, people will always pronounce Toronto with a hard second T? Let me know in the comments.
