Whenever you're feeling down from anxiety, depression, another mental illness, or just from a bad day, remember that you aren’t alone. You're not the only one who feels this way. So many people experience different emotions every single day. Being happy is just one emotion out of many. Although some might try to tell you that you're supposed to be happy all the time, that's simply not true, and that kind of thinking makes us feel guilty when we're sad, but here's the secret – we shouldn't feel guilty for our feelings at all. Just wanted you to know that. :)

You’re not alone

Don’t forget to rest after a long day. If you’ve recently had a hard time, been stressed out, anxious, or something else, give yourself the break you need and deserve. Maybe take a soothing bath or make yourself a cup of tea and read a book. You could even have a movie night! Whatever you think is fun! Remember that even Olympic athletes must rest after a sprint. No one on this earth is exempt from needing time to recoup.

Take a break

If you’ve been spending a lot of time worrying about other people, please remember that you matter too. It's easy to forget that we have value and matter just as much as anyone else. Remember to drink water, eat some food, or maybe go for a walk. It’s never selfish to focus on yourself from time to time; it just shows that you care about yourself as well (which you always should). And if you're reading this at 2am, go to sleep. <3

Focus on yourself

Everything will work out! I guarantee. This might sound a bit scary, but please tell someone about your concerns. The longer you keep things to yourself, the worse you'll feel. You'll feel so much better once you have someone to talk to and help you with your problems. It can be hard to tell people things, so take your time. <3

Talk to someone

There are plenty of fish in the sea! Whether it’s friendships or love, you'll find your people/person. There are over 7 billion people in the world so it’s going to be hard NOT to find someone. But bear with me. If you aren’t having luck finding someone right now, don't fret! They'll come to you once the time is right! :)
