25 Times Drake Completely Won 2015

What a year to be alive.

Aubrey Drake Graham has seen some pretty fantastic, successful years. But this year unlike any other, he was completely unstoppable.

Here's why 2015 was undoubtedly the year of Drake:

1. On February 13, Drizzy dropped an unexpected mixtape, If You're Reading This Its Too Late. Eventually, it went platinum.

2. Not only did the mixtape give us incredible singles like "Energy," "Know Yourself," and "10 Bands," but it also lit up the entire internet with hilarious memes.

3. He was even responsible for introducing the word "woe" into the English vernacular.

4. Plus, who could forget about the music video he dropped for "Energy," chock full of pop culture references?

And of course, ~classic~ Drake dance moves.

5. Time and again, he showed his undying love for the NBA.

6. He served as a team ambassador for the Toronto Raptors *and* supported his other friends who play in the NBA with both style and grace.

7. Speaking of his friends in the NBA, Drake's influence even reached 3-year-old Riley Curry, Steph Curry's daughter, when she sang lyrics to "Blessings" during an NBA press conference.

8. Tom Ford released a lipstick named after Drake that sold out pretty quickly.

9. The 6 God reportedly signed a $19 million deal with Apple music, formally endorsing the music streaming service at an Apple conference in June.

10. In April, Drake headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. That's where he also survived this make out session with Madonna.

11. His relationship with the Canadian government grew to be stronger than ever, especially his friendship with Toronto Councillor Norm Kelly.

12. 2015 was also a good year for new ink — he added this compass representing Toronto to his already impressive tattoo collection.

13. Aubrey showed his loyalty to his roots with a couple of Degrassi reunions.

14. Yet another year went by and Drake gave us even more insight into how much he loves his mom.

15. And his love for his original OVO crew gave us all the #FriendshipGoals.

16. July might've been the most important month of all for Drizzy. After Meek Mill came for Drake on Twitter and started the most epic hip hop beef of the year, Drake didn't back down.

17. Drake released two diss tracks in a row, "Charged Up" and "Back to Back," featuring unapologetic lyrics like, "Very important and very pretentious, when I look back I might be mad that I gave this attention."

18. The sixth annual OVO Fest in Toronto was also lit, given it was just days after Drake released "Back to Back" and the first time he performed it live.

19. Then the world watched as his diss track turned into a hit single, club banger, and even a Grammy nominated song.

20. Not to mention five other Grammy nominations this year, making that a total of 24 Grammy nominations since 2010.

21. As if one platinum album wasn't enough for him to accomplish in a span of 365 days, Drake also dropped a mixtape with Future, What a Time to be Alive.

22. Drake couldn't let 2015 go by before releasing a music video for his hit single "Hotline Bling," serving up some of the most iconic dance moves of the year.

23. Which also birthed some of the best memes the internet has ever seen.

24. Most importantly, Drake glo'd the fuck up and let us follow along on his journey with beautiful, drool-worthy Instagram photos.

25. And the rapper continued to get us pumped for the release of his next album, Views from the 6, which is supposed to drop in 2016.

Congrats on an amazing year, Drizzy. Can't wait to see what 2016 has in store. 🙏
