Your alarm clock goes off, and it's time to get dressed for the day. What do you wear to work?

Looking sharp in your chef uniform, you head to the kitchen a few hours before opening to get ready for the day. What's the first thing you do, just like you learned at culinary school in France?

You get everything organized and set up for the day with the help of your kitchen staff. A young man walks up to you and says he's there for a stage. Where do you direct him?

The restaurant is just starting to open. The first order of the day is for Chez Platypus's famous sea bass with white wine sauce, but the customer wants to know where the fish is coming from. What do you tell the server to tell them?

Next, you're working on poached lobster tails. How do you cook it?

A customer asks for aioli with their dish. What do you put in it?

Chez Platypus is famous for the spherification on its drinks menu. What do you grab from the pantry to help you make fruit juice spheres? 

You want to check on the chocolate soufflé you're baking. How do you sneak a peek?

The head chef tells you to make paté. What kind of meat do you use?

Finally, the restaurant closes for the day. The head chef tells you to take out the trash before you leave. However, it's already after midnight, and some of the waitstaff invited you to grab ice cream with them. They're leaving right now. What do you do?

Both the head chef and the owner are highly impressed with your work today. They tell you that they're looking forward to having you in their kitchen. Great job!

 You're a fantastic chef!

"What on earth on you wearing?" The head chef asks when she meets you in the kitchen. "This isn't an office setting." She sends you home because you didn't realize your nice clothes could pose a safety hazard in the kitchen.

 You wore the wrong outfit!

The head chef takes one taste of your paté and spits it right back out. "We can't serve this!" she chides you. "Paté is made with chicken liver, not red meat." She sends you to take out the trash while she remakes the paté.

 You used the wrong meat in your paté!

A few minutes later, the owner storms into the kitchen with the young man in tow. "Why is isn't he in the kitchen?" Phineas demands. "He's supposed to be here to learn from you." He recommends you do a stage at a different restaurant before pursuing a career as a chef. 

 The intern got lost because of you!

After the server delivers your message, the customer walks out in disgust. Your head chef tells you that, like in all Michelin star restaurants, the fish was delivered fresh this morning. She asks you to direct all customer questions to her for the remainder of the day.

 You gave a customer false information!

The customer sends back their plate as soon as the server brings it out. Your head chef takes one look at it and tells you that whatever you made isn't an aioli. "It should be an emulsion, sort of like mayonnaise," she reminds you before suggesting you join the dishwashers instead.

 You served the customer the wrong thing!

You head chef finds you struggling to cook because you don't know where anything is. She asks why you didn't start your day with mise-en-place and set everything up first. She dismisses you so she can start measuring ingredients and organizing equipment herself.  

 You didn't set everything up for the day!

No matter how many droplets of fruit juice you add to the bowl of calcium chloride, no spheres as forming. When you ask your head chef for help, she tells you that you should've mixed a little bit of sodium alginate with the juice first. "It's basic molecular gastronomy," she says before taking over. 

 You failed at spherification!

As soon as you open the oven door, the whole kitchen goes silent. They can't believe you'd let cold air into the oven where your delicate soufflé is baking. The owner catches wind of your mistake, and he sends you packing.

 You caused your soufflé to collapse!

She's incredibly disappointed in you, especially after you did such great work today. Since you'd rather spend time with the wait staff than follow her orders, she demotes you to a server. 

 You disrespected the head chef!

Your head chef walks over to check on you, confused. She reminds you that poaching requires cooking the lobster tails in butter at a simmer and never a boil. She asks you to step aside so she can take over.

 You didn't poach the lobster tails correctly!
