"The message I have for men and women in the workforce who may find themselves in these situations is to not get discouraged when thrown into these situations — be confident in your abilities. The reason I was able to stand up for myself is because I’ve been blessed to have wonderful mentors who are both men and women already established in the industry. If there is one thing they’ve taught me, it’s to allow my work to prevail and speak for itself. I wasn’t afraid to lose the brand because I knew my vision was solid. Sure enough, they apologized after I voiced my concerns openly on the call. They saw the value in my presentation, which happened to be legally protected and owned by me," she concluded.
