Miranda Lambert Cussed At Some Fans During Her Recent Show Because They Were Taking Selfies, And It Upset So Many People, Some Walked Out Of The Show

"Can you imagine being a huge fan and documenting your memorable moment and then she calls you out in front of everyone?"

Miranda Lambert is currently performing her Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas.

And during a performance this past Saturday, she stopped singing her song "Tin Man" to scold some fans who were taking selfies instead of listening to her song.

The New York Post shared footage from the concert, and it has caught the attention of over 2.5 million people:

In the video, you can hear Miranda start singing "Tin Man," but then stop, point at some fans who seem to be near the front row, and say, "These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song, and it is pissing me off..."

She continues to say more, but the crowd is so loud with a mixed reaction of cheering and booing, it is pretty impossible to make out what she says.

Then you can see audience members getting up to leave. One woman can be heard saying, "Let's go. Come on. You don't do that to fans."

Most people have been flooding the comments with their disgust for how Miranda handled the situation.

"Rude af. If I pay for a concert I will take as many selfies as I wish."

The main point of view comes from people who believe that if they pay money for an event, they can take as many pictures as they want.

"How dare someone want to take pictures of an event they paid a lot of money for"

People are also sharing how the fans in this situation were probably just wanting to capture the memory.

"can u imagine u r a huge fan & documenting your memorable moment & she calls you out in front of everyone?!"

And little have sympathy because Miranda's job is to sing at concerts.

"Her job is to perform..... period."

Even though the "Tin Man" song is sad in nature — it talks about the downsides of having a heart (like going through heartbreak) — people still believe she didn't have a right to stop the song and make the comment she did.

"I understand this is an emotional song for her but why does she think she can dictate someone else's harmless behavior?"

Another view of the concert was shared by TikToker @alirosecountry who said some fans were happy that Miranda stopped to address what was happening because the flash continued multiple times and was distracting.

There is a time and place for taking photos during a show, but when it starts to ruin the show for everyone else, it is a problem. Miranda Lambert did what needed to be done. #mirandalambert #velvetrodeo

However, commenters on that video are still backing that fans should be able to take pics no matter what.

What are your thoughts on this situation? Was Miranda stopping the show warranted? Should she have a "no cellphone" policy before her concerts to avoid all of this, or should fans be able to do whatever they want if they pay for a concert? Let us know in the comments!
