In An Apology On Instagram, Justin Timberlake Talked About The Cheating Rumors

"I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior."

A little over a week ago, Justin Timberlake was seen holding hands with actor Alisha Wainwright. The two are currently working together and starring in the upcoming film Palmer.

Justin has been married to actor Jessica Biel since 2012, and the two have a 4-year-old son named Silas.

Shortly after the the Sun shared the video, a representative for Alisha released a statement saying, “There is no validity to this speculation. They are currently working on a project together. Members of the cast and crew were all together.”

But since then, there had been no comment from Justin or his representatives. However, on Wednesday, Justin posted the following message to his Instagram:

Justin wrote, "I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love."

"A few weeks ago, I displayed a strong lapse in judgement — but let me be clear — nothing happened between me and my costar. I drank way too much that night and I regret my behavior. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son," Justin continued.

"I apologize to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that. I am incredibly proud to be working on Palmer. Looking forward to continuing to make this movie and excited for people to see it."

Justin, we appreciate your honesty and we hope this can remain in the past!

Palmer will be released sometime next year, but an exact date has not been announced.
