19. Castor Oil

This is a life changer.
It’s a little known brand, but it is truly a miracle worker. I lost all of my hair when I was 17, and it never grew back as full. After using this shampoo I noticed thicker, fuller, and healthier hair with so few split ends that even my hairstylist asks what I use and how my hair looks so good after four months between cuts!
I have PCOS and was losing hair like crazy. I was actually going noticeably bald on the top of my head. I tried so many things and nothing worked. Then, about a year ago, my stylist introduced me to L’anza Healing Volume Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner and everything changed. My hair grew back! Not only that, but it's healthier than it's ever been.
It’s a texturizing powder that I sprinkle in my hair when I need a boost. You can put it in your roots for subtle volume or sprinkle it everywhere for a picture perfect blowout look!

Nioxin all day every day! I had super super thin hair that would fall out a lot. I was 18 and you could see my scalp through my hair. Nioxin takes time to grow your hair, but now I have a great full head of hair! Will be loyal forever.
Nioxin. My hairstylist is blown away with how my hair is changing every time I go in. I have thin and fine hair that barely grows and my hair is getting thicker, fuller and longer from using this product.
Nioxin! It cleanses my hair of any greasiness and it stays great for two to three days! Disclaimer though: It is a harsher formula, so if you are used to washing your hair every day, this product will be too harsh. Start using it and washing your hair every other day or longer. Your scalp will start to emit less oil and your hair will be less greasy. It does take a couple of weeks, though.

It makes my hair look like it actually has volume and gives it a lot of bounce. Plus, it's the only product that brought my dry hair back to life once I started using it.
Get it from Amazon for $15.99.
When my hair fell out after I had each of my kids, I didn't think anything would help. Thankfully, after my third baby, my stylist recommended this stuff. Holy crap, they were not cheap, but my hair was so full and soft. I'd recommended them to anyone with thin or thinning hair in a heartbeat.
Get the shampoo for $26, the conditioner for $26, and the thickening cream for $28.
This stuff is $$$$, but it's the best mousse I have found thus far for volume. My hair is super fine and tends to fall flat, but this stuff is a life saver. —crystalb21
The biggest issue with my thin hair is air drying. Oribe moisturizing cream is light enough that it won’t weigh down my hair, but locks in moisture and gives it volume – all while containing any baby hairs that want to frizz out! It’s a bit on the pricey side, but one bottle usually lasts me four to five months! —gloriamichellee
Over half the base of Big shampoo is made with sea salt to help give volume to hair. Sea salt is also full of minerals and de-greases hair, removing dead skin cells and dirt without stripping natural oils. Get it for $29.95.
I am 100% obsessed with Paul Mitchell’s Tea Tree Scalp Care. It’s botanically based and designed to reduce hair fallout up to 85%. I’m a stylist and I’ve actually seen my clients start to grow hair back. It’s amazing!
Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo is awesome for thickening my hair! Its not specifically for thickening and only works between showers, obviously, but it helps make my fine hair style better.
Redken Extreme Shampoo is a must-have. It smells amazing and after a couple of uses your hair is visibly thicker. For someone with split ends, it's an absolute life saver.
Redken Thickening Lotion 06 is the best. I use a dime-size amount in wet hair, then blow dry my head upside down and it works miracles. Minimal effort with a great payoff.
Get the shampoo for $19 and the conditioner for $20. The thickening lotion is $19.50.
I have baby fine hair that loves to be limp and sad. Most products that claim to add thickness just weigh my already thin hair down more, so I have to avoid shampoos that add build up. Most styling products will look great but fall flat nearly immediately. However, Aveda Texture Tonic is total game changer! It's the only thing that gives my hair a noticeable lift and fullness. Plus it last ALL day!
The thickening tonic from Aveda is amazingly potent and all natural!!

I am a hairstylist and I’ve been through about every dry shampoo to find what works best for me. This one was a surprise as I normally just look for something that smells good and doesn’t turn white in my hair. It is advertised for long hair and extensions but, omg, it makes my hair feel so thick! It works better than any root lifter/thickening spray I’ve ever used.

The "Ghost" shampoo and conditioner by VERB has done wonders for both volume and oil control!
I have fine and oily hair, which certainly makes having bouncy, voluminous hair a challenge. Since switching to Theorie Green Tea Energizing Shampoo and Conditioner, my sebum production is down and my thin hair has bounce and body. My hair is also impossibly soft, which is nothing short of a miracle considering how damaged it was from bleaching and dyeing. It's been a total game changer, and I cannot recommend it enough.
I like doing homemade hair masks once a week and throwing some castor oil in has made a major difference in my hair!

As a guy with pin straight thin hair, it was literally impossible for me to keep my hair styled without LOADS of hair spray, but I discovered texturizing sprays and my life is way more convenient! I really love the Mermaid Hair Texturing Sea Salt Spray from Hoppy and Poppy. It's made of pink Himalayan salt, among other great ingredients, and it helps bring out the layers in my hair. It also helps reduce shine and really just helps my hair hold up and lock into place more. The sea salt spray adds a bit of volume to my typically flat hair, which is nice. Just adds a few spritzes into your hair after you've washed it — or before styling it — and it makes styling SO much easier!

Definitely the texture spray from Rusk. It gives me tons of volume without the goop or hardness of hairsprays and waxes. Spray at the root and BAM! Texas hair. ✌—brittneyg4bd593d85

I've been using the TreeActiv Hair Growth Daily Nourishing Spray since November and it has really helped my hair grow. It's a natural leave-in spray made with argon oil, biotin, and keratin. You just spray it all over damp hair, massage it into your scalp for a few seconds, style as normal and go! It doesn't weigh down my hair or make it greasy like most leave-in products do.

No other product has made my hair feel thicker and fuller. Added bonus: They don’t test on animals and are sulfate free.
