These Elderly People Making TikTok Videos Is The Most Wholesome Thing You Will Ever See

TikTok is connecting people everywhere, no matter their age.

At the beginning of 2020, I think it's safe to say that a lot of people over the age of 25 would have thought they were "too old" for TikTok. But, during the COVID-19 pandemic, all of that changed.

This spring, we started seeing people of all ages go viral on the platform. The short, one-minute-or-less videos became a main source of entertainment. We saw families come together to partake in dance trends:

We saw people use it as an outlet to share their hardships and frustrations:

It also became a place where people learned things they never knew before (although some of the things we might have been better off not knowing):

Experts even created TikTok accounts to spread helpful information, and some people may have even helped saved lives!

To sum it up, TikTok became a way of connecting people — strangers, really — across the globe. So, it should come as no surprise that older people have also developed fans of all ages on the platform — 82-year-old user @charlesmallet has over 4 million followers. He recently shared his gratitude for TikTok and how it has positively impacted his life:

@charlesmallet

We are almost to 4 million and I can’t thank you guys enough!! 👴🏾🎃❤️ #foryoupage #foryou #grandpacharles #godbless

On his page, you can find skits he does with his wife, cute moments from his life, and cooking videos — like his Rice Krispies one below that received over 2 million views:

And user @grandma_droniak is 90 years old, with over 1.5 million followers. She loves responding to comments — and people love watching. The hilarious video of her outfit below has over 20 million views:

In addition to responding to comments (and showing off her outfits), she loves dancing, and giving everyday glimpses into her life:

This 78-year-old grandparent duo from Korea has also gained a massive following of nearly 900,000 followers on the platform. On user @grandpachan's page, you can find tons of dancing and lip-synching to popular TikTok songs:

@omsteve is an 82-year-old Texas-based user with over 1.4 million followers. He's always telling entertaining stories and he also performs magic tricks:

If you do enough scrolling on the platform, you'll come across thousands of other mega-viral elderly people, like @gramma.pat who does everything from dancing to dot-to-dot pages for her fans:

To say 2020 has been a whirlwind of a year is an understatement, but seeing TikTok connect every generation in the way that it has is truly incredible!
