The Broom Challenge Is Trending On Twitter After People Learned Their Brooms Can Stand Upright
It's just physics.
Guys, something called the #broomchallenge is trending on Twitter.
Have you tried the #BroomChallenge? Did it work?
The challenge stemmed from someone in the Twitterverse spreading a false rumor that NASA said the Earth is on a perfect tilt right now and brooms will stand upright on their own.
Today- According to NASA the Earth is on its axis to where a broom will stand on its own. #broomchallenge
So, people tried it and they were SHOOOOOOOK after it worked.
“this that weird shit” #broomchallenge
And, although it might look ~magic~, it's not. Basic physics tells us that brooms can stand upright — anytime — as long as they're positioned just right.
Our broom does it better. #broomchallenge
It really has nothing to do with the Earth being at a ~perfect tilt~ right now.
they shoulda never gave us the internet 😂😂 #nasa #broomchallenge
Either way, people are enjoying their new party trick.
I didn’t know we could do this with our brooms 💀💀💀 #broomchallenge
And some people are getting very creative.
#BroomChallenge ALL STAR Skills Challenge Edition! 😂🧹🏀 @nasa
There are also others who just don't understand the challenge. 😂
Tried getting my mom to do the #broomchallenge and....🤦🏽♂️💀
So, yes, this really works. But no, NASA never said it would only happen during this particular moment.
NASA was actually right with this broom challenge, this thing hasn’t moved yet. 🤯🤯🤯 #broomchallenge
In the meantime, I'll just be over here waiting for the day when my broom can SWEEP on its own.
