Spencer Claus is a 16-year-old from Scottsdale, Arizona. Claus likes makeup design and musical theater, and often combines the two.
Spencer's dad, Scot, is a lawyer and an actor.
For Father's Day, the Claus family decided to do a father-son photo shoot. They'd done a similar portrait for Mother's Day.
Claus says he and his dad sat in their living room, put on TV show 30 Rock, and just had a great time together. "It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, we're always doing weirdly artsy shit around our house. Just another day with the Claus family!"
Last Sunday, he shared the photos of his father's transformation to Twitter. Claus told BuzzFeed News that the photos were based on a previously popular makeup tutorial.
The tweet has since been retweeted over 10,000 times. Claus said that although the tweet has brought some homophobic abuse — Claus identifies as genderqueer — overall people have been supportive of his work and his parents.

"I receive so much more love than I do hate. So many people said 'parenting done right' or something to that effect, which I think is absolutely true," he said. "I have been extremely fortunate to have the supportive parents I do and I am forever grateful to them."
