Old enough to know better, still to young to care

It looks like you’ve picked ones that you think are rather ridiculous, but your number 1 entry, asking that the AG mandate its attorneys seek sanctions to cover the cost of birther lawsuits is actually quite serious.  Over the last 4 years, there have been over 200 suits, motions for reconsideration and appeals (including appeals to the US Supreme Court) ALL trying to get Obama declared as unqualified to be President under a range of varying theories.  Every one of those filings has required someone - usually a DOJ or state attorney - has to take the time to read the filing (some of which can be as many as 200-300 pages between the motions and “evidence,”) find the appropriate cases to reference when asking for a dismissal and then write the appeal.  This is not only a waste of their time, it interferes with their ability to handle other, more important cases dealing with genuine issues of law and justice AND the taxpayers end up footing the bill for it all.  So, yeah, start sanctioning birthers who are filing clearly frivolous suits. Maybe if they start feeling the pain in their pocketbooks it’ll serve as a deterrent against future frivolous suits.
