#1 The “Suit” Wrap
MATERIALS
Wrapping paper for the shirt fold 30 in x 20 in
Tape
Standard Neck Tie
Ribbon (that matches the neck tie)
INSTRUCTIONS
Wrap box as normal.
Cut out another piece of the same wrapping paper that is 1.5x bigger than the front side of your box. We cut 30 in x 20 in to fit on the front side of the suit box.
Fold it in half lengthwise and unfold. This gives you a central crease down the middle of the sheet.
Fold the left and right edges of the sheet towards the middle. You should now have two flaps.
Fold the right flap out towards the right side.
Repeat of the other side, forming a V shape
Turn the paper and flip over so the V is on the bottom and is facing down towards the table and Valley fold the top edge down towards you
Flip the paper again so the V is now facing up. Fold the right corner of the paper towards the middle crease
Repeat with the left side- fold the top left corner towards the center allowing the two corners to meet in the middle
Bring the bottom of the paper up and slide it under the collar
Tape the sides of the “shirt” to the wrapped box.
Tie the neck tie around collar.
Cut and tape the ribbon around the box to create the illusion of suspenders.
#2 Personalized Bag with Paper Flower
MATERIALS TO MAKE THE BAG
Wrapping Paper 18 in x 30 in
Tape
Scissors
Hole Punch
Twine
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE THE BAG
Roll out paper to make sure the gift will fit and cut to size
Fold the right and left sides in until they meet in the middle and overlap
Tape the seam
Fold the bottom of the wrapping paper up to create the bottom of the bag
Now, separate the two pieces of wrapping paper and flatten out the corners to create a diamond shape.
Open the bag
Fold the top of the bag over to the back side
Hole punch and attach flower
MATERIALS FOR THE FLOWER BOW
Tissue paper 5 in x 5 in squares (green, pink, orange, yellow or any colors of your choice)
Scissors
String
Hole punch
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE FLOWER BOW
Stack tissue paper on top of each other.
Fold into triangle.
Fold again into triangle.
Cut into tear shape (rounded edge).
Now cut the rounded edge into a scallop cut.
Unfold paper until it’s a half fold.
Punch hold in the middle of the paper close to the folded edge.
Tie the twine in the punched hole.
Open the folded paper.
Gently peel the paper up layer by layer and lightly “fluff” out the paper to form a flower.
#3 Pop-Up Heart
MATERIALS
Wrapping paper - 28 in x 30 in
Tissue paper in a different color from the wrapping paper
Utility knife
Tape
Cutting board
INSTRUCTIONS
Place tissue paper on front of the gift. Make it the size you want to place the heart.
Place wrapping paper over the gift.
Lightly mark with a pencil where the tissue paper is placed so you hit the target area.
Cut out half-shaped heart with the utility knife within that target area.
Gift is facing up carefully peel up the half heart and fold it over.
#4 Personalized Photo Wrap
MATERIALS
Twine
Picture 4x4
Clothespin
INSTRUCTIONS
Print out your personal Instagram photos on 4x4 paper.
Wrap gift as normal.
Cut twine to fit around the gift.
Cut the loose ends, so only the knot is in the center.
Use a clothespin to affix the photo over the knot on the front of the gift.
#5 Tissue Paper “Wheels”
MATERIALS
Wrapping paper for gift - 23.5 in X 30 in
Tissue paper for wheels; eight pieces of 5 in x 5 in makes 2 wheels
Tape
Ribbon
INSTRUCTIONS (this makes 1 wheel)
Wrap gifts as normal.
Grab four pieces of the tissue paper.
Make two stacks of two pieces of tissue paper.
For each stack, fold over the tissue paper back and forth like you’re making a fan or accordion.
Fold the closed accordion in half.
Cut an oval at the tip. (This is subjective; you can cut whatever design you want.)
Unfold and you will have a half circle.
Repeat steps 3–6 with the second stack of tissue paper to make the other half circle.
Put double-sided tape on one of the half circles.
Tape the two half circles together.
Now you have one large circle. Adjust so it’s not crinkled in on itself.
Tape or glue the wheel to the ribbon on your box.
Voilà — you got wheels!
