5 Ways To Kick Inflammation To The Curb

Inflammation is a leading cause in depression and mental illness, so it’s very important to make sure you have control of the inflammation in your body, and make sure it doesn’t get out of control. Here are 5 ways to help you overcome inflammation.

2. Use breathing exercises

Take 10-20 minutes out of your day to do simple calming breathing exercises to reduce stress and lower inflammation. Studies show that 20 minutes of yoga breathing can reduce inflammatory markers in the body.

3. Who needs sleep? Oh yea, you do!

One of the most effective ways to get rid of inflammation is having healthy sleeping habits. This includes going to be at the same time everyday, not over or under sleeping, avoid eating before to going to bed and avoid waking up so many times during the night.

4. Eat plenty of omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants

These will make a great anti-inflammatory diet. Good sources of omega-3 fatty acids would be salmon, sardines, herring, and omega-3 fortified eggs. For antioxidants, eat plenty of brightly colored fruits, also drink pomegranate juice, and green tea.

5. Healthy gut, healthy life

Eating raw foods such as dark leafy green vegetables, nuts, and fresh fruit, add healthy microbes to the gut. These microbes help aid in better digestion of key nutrients, which leads to a dramatic decrease in inflammation
