CLASSIC BACON, EGG, AND CHEESE

Servings: 12

INGREDIENTS

1 package King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls

4 eggs

2 teaspoons water, divided

1 teaspoon kosher salt, divided

½ teaspoon ground pepper, divided

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 slices American cheese

½ pound cooked bacon, broken into 2-inch pieces

PREPARATION

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for convection).

2. Keeping the King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Rolls attached to each other, slice rolls in half so that the top comes off in one sheet. Place both sheets on a baking tray. Lightly toast in oven.

3. Whisk two eggs with 1 teaspoon water, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper.

4. Heat a nonstick skillet over low heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the pan. Pour in whisked egg and roll egg around the pan so that it coats the pan in an even layer. Gently lift the edges of the egg with a spatula and let any uncooked egg roll underneath.

5. Place two American cheese slices in the middle, slightly overlapping. Use a spatula to fold one side of the egg over onto the cheese. Fold up the other 3 sides until you have formed a rectangle with the cheese in the middle. Remove from pan and place on the sheet of rolls so it covers half of the sheet. Repeat with the other 2 eggs and place on the other half of the rolls.

6. Arrange a few pieces of bacon on each slider roll. Place the top sheet of rolls on and serve!
