Emma Watson Has Confirmed Dan Stevens Will Join Her In "Beauty And The Beast"
And she also confirmed Luke Evans as villain Gaston. Harry Potter meets Downton Abbey meets The Hobbit and we couldn't be happier.
Earlier this year all our Disney dreams came true when it was announced that Emma Watson will be playing Belle in an upcoming live-action take on Beauty and the Beast.
Something both Emma and the entire population of the Internet couldn't quite handle.
We eagerly waited to hear who would play The Beast opposite her and we have not been disappointed – Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens will play the part.
Rumours have been doing the rounds all week, with Dan teasing fans by tweeting this on Wednesday night.
But on Thursday morning Emma confirmed the brilliant news with this perfect tweet.
And she also confirmed that The Hobbit's Luke Evans will play villain Gaston in the adaptation of the classic story.
Bill Condon, who directed The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and the musical Dreamgirls, is signed on to direct. According to The Wrap, David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will produce. Representatives for Disney, as well as Stevens and Evans have all been contacted for comment by BuzzFeed.
