Zayn Malik Just Told Calvin Harris To "Calm Your Knickers"

"I suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out."

He's hardly a stranger to Twitter spats, after publicly falling out with his former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson earlier this year.

@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine ?

But now Zayn Malik has been involved in another online argument – this time with Taylor Swift's boyfriend, fellow chart-topper Calvin Harris.

It all started when Zayn retweeted this (which he has since deleted), comparing two quotes between Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

Calvin immediately responded to both Zayn and the account that originally posted the tweet, expressing his disgust at Miley's quotes compared to Taylor's.

@FemaleTexts @zaynmalik You've made your money? Cool...fuck the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah fuck em

And continued with a rant about the industry.

If u don't get what it means when a successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry...

While u kids are refresh voting teen choice awards there's some poor fucker in a basement making your new favorite record trying to survive

Meaning...stay out of things you don't understand

And Zayn decided to get personal with his responses back.

@CalvinHarris ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself mate

@CalvinHarris you clearly didn't understand what I just said either

Like commenting on his recent image overhaul.

@CalvinHarris so i suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out

And calling him a dickhead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh and I write my own shit too dickhead

So Calvin tried to make amends.

@zaynmalik all good, it was the quote not you personally mate

And compliment him. But Zayn didn't respond back.

@zaynmalik best of luck, genuinely. You've got a great voice

And in the meantime Zayn's former bandmate Louis subtly showed his support for Calvin by favouriting his initial tweet.

Which leads us to one conclusion: Think before you tweet, guys.
