Ever hoped that there were actual badass superheroes walking amongst us? Well, they're real my friend. And like the superheroes in Kick-Ass 2, out August 16th, these guys decided to take matters into their own hands.
City He Protects: Atlanta, GA
Kick-Ass Super Powers: At only 5ft 6in, The Crimson Fist spends his nights guarding the streets of Atlanta from any villain activity. On his first night out as the hero, he witnessed a citizen being attacked in a dark alley. Without hesitation, he ran over to rescue him, solidifying his place in real life superhero awesomeness.
City He Protects: Portland, OR
Kick-Ass Super Power: Armed with a steel baton and a 30,000 volt Taser, Zetaman roams the streets of Portland looking to help any innocent citizen in need. Although he has never needed to use his weapons, he's always prepared to fight off any criminals who try to stir shit up.
City He Protects: Rochester, MN
Kick-Ass Super Power: By day he's a "responsible, white collar worker." But at night, Geist is patrolling the streets, stopping crime and graffiti artists from vandalizing city structures. He also aids the hungry and homeless in Rochester that are in need of help.
City He Protects: Clearwater, FL
Kick-Ass Super Power: An ex-professional wrestler turned superhero, Super Hero patrols the streets in a 1975 Corvette helping stranded motorists in need. He is also the co-founder of Team Justice Inc, a non-profit for badass Real Life Superheroes in the US.
City She Protects: New York, NY
Kick-Ass Super Power: Starting at the age of 16 in Kansas City, Nyx now patrols the NYC streets at night to help the homeless. She chose the name Nyx from the Greek goddess of the same name who ruled the night.
City He Protects: Birmingham, United Kingdom
Kick-Ass Super Power: Banker by day and criminal ass-kicker by night, The Statesman prowls the Birmingham streets stopping drug deals and preventing burglaries. He also sports state of the art gadgets to help any citizen in danger and a light torch to scare off any villains who cross his path.
City He Protects: New York, NY
Kick-Ass Super Power: Learning charitable values from his Hassidic upbringing, Life has become a major hero on the streets of New York City. Decked out in a fly fedora and tie, he ventures out with a bag full of toothbrushes, soaps, and food to selflessly hand out to the homeless.
City He Protects: Washington, D.C.
Kick-Ass Super Power: As an awesome hero who is really dedicated to his country, DC's Guardian can be seen patrolling the streets of D.C., while handing out copies of the Bill of Rights and the nation's constitution. And the reasoning behind his patriotic uniform? It's so everyone can see themselves behind the mask, no matter what race or gender they are.
City He Protects: Seattle, WA
Kick-Ass Powers: Probably the most badass of them all, Phoenix Jones has been fighting crime all over Seattle for a few years. And in that short amount of time he has a laundry list of heroic incidents, including chasing down car thieves and following an accused stabber until the police arrived.
City He Protects: Vancover, Canada
Kick-Ass Super Power: Named after the ancient Greek personification of death, 63-year-old badass Thanatos sets out to the streets of Vancover to help people living on the streets. After a police officer told him that the only thing some homeless people have to look forward to is death, he figured that, "death better get out there and start taking care of these people."
