7 KFC Original Tenders
1 large cob loaf
1 cup cream cheese
1 cup cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 cup mozzarella, shredded
60g spinach, chopped
1 onion, diced
300g bacon, diced
STEP 1: Preheat oven to 180°C.
STEP 2: Cut a cylindrical hole in the centre of a large cob loaf. Hollow out the hole, leaving the base in tact.
STEP 3: Cut another large ring around the centre hole — big enough to stuff KFC Chicken Tenders inside.
STEP 4: Slice incisions on the outside of the bread approximately 3cm apart, cutting all the way down, but allowing the bread to stay connected.
STEP 5: Add bacon and onion to a frying pan and cook on medium heat until the bacon is crispy, then add spinach and cook until wilted.
STEP 6: In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella, cooked bacon, onion and spinach, then pour into the centre of the cob loaf. Add leftover mozzarella on top.
STEP 7: Cover the cob loaf in foil, then bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C. Remove the foil, then cook for another 10 minutes uncovered.
STEP 8: In a small mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce and chilli flakes, then add to a small ramekin for serving.
STEP 9: Using a sharp knife, cut KFC Original Tenders in half and set aside.
STEP 9: Once the cob loaf is cooked, remove from the oven and add KFC Original Tenders to the outside incision of the bread, so that they stand up. Serve cob loaf warm with a garnish of chives.
STEP 10: Pull apart and enjoy!
