In honor of the new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film, here's a roundup of the best Batmobiles in history (minus the comic books):

21. Batman and Robin Batmobile (1949)

Even though this Batmobile is from 1949, it lacks any creativity whatsoever. Sorry, Batman, this one's just a regular car.

20. The LEGO Movie Batmobile (2014)

The Lego Batmobile looks cool, sort of. It's creative, but in terms of functionality, it's hard to imagine Batman dashing away with all those tires. It was a solid effort, though.

19. The New Batman Adventures Batmobile (1997-1999)

This particular Batmobile doesn't really cause you to feel anything. You can tell it's a Batmobile and it looks sort of cool, but it doesn't have anything jumping out that helps separate it from the competition.

18. Batman: The Brave and the Bold Batmobile (2008-2011)

This Batmobile was sleek, sure, but it was also pretty boring, too.

17. Batman: Arkham Asylum Video Game Batmobile (2009)

In terms of video game vehicles, this Batmobile looks pretty cool and is packed full of goodies. It's 3D-rendered, for goodness' sake. But, as far as video game cars go, this one's just scratching the surface.

16. Super Friends Batmobile (1970s)

Shout out to the 1970s for having the imagination and creativity to come up with this masterpiece. The design on this one is way ahead of its time, and the front wind "shields" are a nice touch too.

15. Old-School Batmobile (1943)

God bless the 1940s. For the creators of the Batman show to even come up with this marvel is very impressive. You can tell from the design that a lot of later models "borrowed" from the extended body design.

13. Batman & Robin Batmobile (1997)

12. Batman Forever Batmobile (1995)

While Val Kilmer's Batman is remembered for being pretty stiff, his car was cool-looking. It didn't place higher because it lacked some of the gadgets, utilities, and style of other models.

11. The Batman Batmobile (2004)

This Batmobile from the early-2000s animated series The Batman is pretty different from what we were used to up until then. This model was more compact and packed with a ton of technology to make Batman's life easier.

The Batman Beyond Batmobile was incredibly cool. It even had enough space for a dog, and it flew! Yes, because it was the future, it could fly!

8. Batman: Arkham Knight Video Game Batmobile (2015)

This Batmobile is epic. It's from the soon-to-be-released Batman: Arkham Knight video game. It looks awesome, packs a ton of tech, and is the first time players can actually drive the Batmobile in-game.

7. The Batmobile From the New Batman v Superman Movie (2016)

The newest Batmobile is definitely cool. The caped crusader's latest whip is made by Chevy and sports some pretty sick upgrades from what's been seen in the past. This one didn't rank higher because it hasn't actually been seen in action yet. Also, it's borderline too much.

6. Batman TV Series Batmobile (1966)

As far as iconic Batmobiles go, Adam West's Batman had a pretty sweet ride. It was packed with a ton of gadgets and tech that were all far, far ahead of their time. And in terms of looks: wow. This one is definitely a hot ride, the paint job is sweet, and to be honest, it would be awesome to ride around the streets in this one today.

5. Tim Burton's Batmobile (1989)

Tim Burton's Batmobile was game-changing in terms of design, style, cool factor, and technology. It was supremely popular during its time and still is one of the most recognizable Batmobiles ever. Plus the gadgets that were built in: epic.

4. The Batcycle From Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight (2008)

Nolan's Batmobile itself was legendary, but wait...WTF, Nolan built a full motorcycle into his Bat Tumbler. This was the perfect way to up the ante in terms of functionality and escapability.

3. The Dark Knight's Batmobile (2006-2012)

Christopher Nolan completely changed the game with his Bat Tumbler. It brought a modern touch to the fantasy car and was based off of a military-grade vehicle. Perfect for Batman to roll around Gotham in. It was intimidating and handled the degenerates of Gotham perfectly. Remember the first time you saw this Batmobile? Yeah, exactly, it was very special.

2. The Very First Batmobile, Ever (1941)

Wow. The very first Batmobile is one of the best. It looks killer and is even packed with some low-tech tools to help Batman out. The paint job is honestly one of the best features. It's hard to really argue against this one because it's just that damn good.

1. Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile (1992-1995)

If you were a child who grew up in the '90s, then this is and always will be the best Batmobile, ever. The original Batman animated series was what got most of us to believe in the caped crusader in the first place. This Batmobile was sick and came packed with a ton of technology to help Batman along the way. Definitely one of the best.
