TBH, Seeing These 12 Horror Icons Out Of Costume Is Like Seeing A Dog Walk On Its Hind Legs
You'll never look at the Nun the same way ever again.
1. Xenomorph from Alien (1979)

This iconic alien was portrayed by the 7'2'' Nigerian actor, Bolaji Badejo. Interesting fact: the alien suit was made to look shiny using a mixture of KY Jelly and condoms! Yes, you read that right.
2. Pinhead from Hellraiser (1987)

Doug Bradley plays the role of the Cenobite "Hell Priest" lovingly referred to by fans as Pinhead. After the success of Freddy Vs. Jason, there was almost a Hellraiser vs. Halloween crossover but the project was sadly never given the green light. Speaking of Halloween...
3. Michael Myers from Halloween (1978)

This classic horror icon was portrayed by SIX people in the first movie. The middle guy up above is the one who gets the most screen time, but the guy on the right is the face you see when Michael is temporarily unmasked.

Will Sandin played the young Michael Myers, but in the scene were he's looking through the mask and grabbing a knife, it was Debra Hill's (a co-writer and producer) hand/arm. Tommy Lee Wallace and James Winburn were also stuntmen who also donned the infamous mask.
4. The Babadook (2014)

The Babadook was portrayed by Tim Purcell who actually worked in the art department for the film. They used him as a stand in for screen tests and decided to keep him on!
5. Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)

Robert Englund plays the infamous Freddy Krueger. Dedicated to the role, he's appeared as Freddy in 8 movies, 44 episodes of the Freddy's Nightmare spin-off series, an episode of The Simpsons, and even a Mortal Combat video game!
6. The original Pennywise from the It (1990) miniseries

Stephen King's nightmare-inducing monster, Pennywise, was played by Tim Curry who also starred in the cult-classic The Rock Horror Picture Show as Frank-N-Furter.
7. And don't forget the new Pennywise from It Part 1 & 2 (2017/2019)

This reboot Pennywise was portrayed by actor, Bill Skarsgård. Fun fact: Midsommar actor, Will Poulter, was originally planned to play this creepy clown.
8. Samara from The Ring (2002)

Daveigh Chase portrayed this vengeful ghost and even won the Best Villain Award at the MTV Movie and Television Awards.
9. Bughuul from Sinister (2012)

The "Eater of Children" was played by Nick King who got some pointers for the role from Kane Hodder, the actor who was cast as Jason Voorhees in four of the Friday the 13th films.
10. Regan/Pazuzu from The Exorcist (1973)

Linda Blair as Regan MacNeil terrorized movie goers in 1971 and still manages to do so today!
11. But we can't forget the Face of Evil and Linda's stunt double in The Exorcist

Eileen Dietz went uncredited for a long time, but she actually played an integral part in the making of The Exorcist. In some of the more intense scenes, Eileen, who was in her late 20s, stood in for Linda Blair since she was only 14-years-old at the time of filming. Eileen was also the "Face of Evil" (middle photo) which didn't get very much screen time (less than a second), but it still manages to haunt viewers to this day.
12. And lastly, Valek from The Conjuring 2 (2016) and The Nun (2018)

The Nun that collectively haunts all of our nightmares was portrayed by Bonnie Aarons. Funnily enough, she was also a minor character in the The Princess Diaries (middle photo)!
