There Is A Sea Sponge That Looks Like Cookie Monster

It really does.

1. Diver Mauricio Handler and his wife found this sea sponge while they were swimming around the reefs of Curacao in the Caribbean.

2. It bears more than a little resemblance to the Cookie Monster.

But as a stove pipe sponge, it’s more likely to be found in warm waters of the Atlantic ocean than on Sesame Street. And instead of cookies, it eats whatever plankton floats by. But still.
