Can You Guess Which Food Contains More Sugar?

Tomatoes or ketchup?

There's a difference between added sugar and naturally occurring sugar.

It is worth being aware of the amount of natural sugar in things like fruit juice. According to the NHS website: "Even 100% pure unsweetened fruit juice is high in the type of sugars we need to cut down on."

But in general its not natural sugar we need to cut down on.

The NHS recommends you shouldn't get more than 10% of your total calories from added sugar each day.

That works out as a daily maximum intake of approximately 50g for women and 70g for men, but varies for each person depending on your size and how active you are.

This post has been updated to make clearer the difference between natural and added sugar. BuzzFeed does not suggest choosing a Capri-Sun over an actual apple because of the respective amounts of sugar they contain.
