    21 Teen Drama Moments That Are Incredibly Well-Acted, But Not Enough People Talk About Them

    We don't give Shay Mitchell enough credit for her role on Pretty Little Liars.

    We recently asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which teen drama moments are amazingly well-acted, but not enough people talk about them. Here are some of their responses:

    1. On The Vampire Diaries, when Elena broke down over Jeremy's death.

    Elena: "They're all dead! Everyone is dead!"

    2. On Buffy the Vampire Slayer, when Buffy consoled Giles after saving him from Angelus.

    3. On Teen Wolf, when Stiles talked Scott down from thinking about killing himself.

    "The whole scene was truly gut-wrenching and beautifully acted. The line 'Scott, you’re my best friend. You’re my brother,' gets me every time."


    4. On Dance Academy, when Abigail found out Sammy died.

    "The whole cast did an amazing job in that scene, but Dena Kaplan, who plays Abigail, was phenomenal. I still think about that moment all the time."


    5. On Outer Banks, when JJ broke down in the hot tub about his father abusing him.

    "The scene is so pure and well-acted. Rudy Pankow is incredibly talented."


    6. On Glee, when Kurt sat by his dad's hospital bed and talked to him after his heart attack.

    "Chris Colfer carried that episode. Even though he won a Golden Globe, I don’t think people talk enough about how he and Naya Rivera saved that show with their superb performances."


    7. On Elite, when Polo couldn't live with his guilt after killing Marina.

    "I really hope Brandon Flynn gets some recognition for his powerful and superb acting."


    9. On 13 Reasons Why, when Jessica told her father she was raped.

    "Alisha Boe's acting is so raw and real, and the scene makes me cry every time I watch it."


    10. On Degrassi: The Next Generation, when Manny decided to have an abortion.

    "Cassie Steele is such a good actor, and her performance in those early seasons is criminally underrated."


    11. On Degrassi: Next Class, when Maya had severe depression after the bus crash.

    Maya: "I know you want the old Maya back, but I can't find her, I don't think she's there anymore!"

    "I usually hate how TV depicts depression, but I resonated so deeply with Maya's journey. This moment was so raw, and Olivia Scriven absolutely nailed the scene."


    12. On One Tree Hill, when Brooke realized her and Lucas's relationship was crumbling.

    Brooke says she's not pushing Lucas away, she's holding on for dear life, but she needs Lucas to need her back, cries, "Why won't you ever just let me all the way in?!"

    13. On One Tree Hill, when Haley struggled with depression after her mother's death.

    14. On Friday Night Lights, when Matt broke down about his father's death.

    Matt: "I just want to tell him to his face that I hate him, but he doesn't even have a face"

    "Seeing Matt realize what a hard life he's had and how he’s never really dealt with it emotionally before was so deep and powerful. Zach Gilford deserved an Emmy for that performance."


    15. On Sex Education, when all the girls rode the bus with Aimee after she was sexually assaulted.

    18. On Euphoria, when Rue showed up to Fez's apartment begging for drugs.

    "The scene just sent chills down my spine. I grew up watching Zendaya, so it was amazing to see her play such a complex and compelling character like Rue."


    19. On The Society, when the group went into the woods to kill Dewey as punishment for him killing Cassandra.

    20. On The O.C., when the Cohen family held an intervention for Kirsten's drinking.

    "Kelly Rowan was so underrated in this show, but her performance in this scene particularly stood out. The slow unravelling of Kirsten's resolve as each person says their piece was just brilliant, cumulating in her breakdown."


    21. And finally, on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, when Adrian and Ben's baby died.
