People Told Us Their Most Controversial "Gossip Girl" Opinions And Hoo, Boy

Expect a Gossip Girl blast about this.

We recently asked the BuzzFeed Community to tell us their unpopular Gossip Girl opinions. Here are the wild, controversial results:

Important note: I, Kelly Martinez, do not necessarily endorse these opinions!

    1. Blair should have ended up with Prince Louis.

    The CW

"He only turned into an asshole because he was sick of the drama between Blair, Chuck, and Dan. Before that, he was the best guy for Blair."

    2. Blair and Serena were terrible friends.

    The CW

"I never understood Blair and Serena’s friendship. It never made sense to me; it always seemed fake."

    3. Georgina should have been Gossip Girl.

    The CW

"She was an amazing character and deserved more screen time."

    4. Chuck and Blair should NOT have ended up together.

    The CW

"Chuck and Blair were horrifyingly toxic. They should have ended the show with them parting ways and living their own individual successful lives."

    5. Dan being Gossip Girl actually made sense.

    The CW

"Gossip Girl's moves were calculated and anything that 'hurt' Dan actually usually got him something he wanted. It made sense."

    6. Jenny and Nate should have been endgame.

    The CW

"Jenny and Nate should have ended up together — I loved their relationship."

    7. Rufus was a terrible parent.

    The CW

"He didn’t know how to control his kids and he kind of neglected them after he married Lily."

    8. Dan and Blair were the best couple on the show.

    The CW

"They were the only pairing that actually treated each other as equals and at least tried to work through their issues."

    9. Vanessa's character got too much unnecessary hate.

    The CW

"Vanessa wasn't actually that bad. She was strong-willed and loyal for the most part, and she was far from being as bad as Serena, Blair, and the rest of the group."

    10. Serena was the worst character on the show.

    The CW

"Not only was she egotistical and selfish, she constantly victimized herself. I couldn’t stand how she just expected everything to go her way, and then acted like it was the end of the world if it didn't. She was never held accountable for her actions and never showed any character progression."

    11. Blair's schemes got old as the series went on.

    The CW

"Blair’s pettiness was so repetitive that it became completely expected and boring."

    12. Serena should have ended up with Carter Baizen.

    The CW

"He treated her better than any of her other boyfriends. He literally went to work on an oil rig to pay back debts so he could eventually be with her, but they never brought him back! The writers did Carter dirty."

    13. Chuck never actually became a better person.

    The CW

"He was just awful and I didn’t buy his redemption arc at all. Blair deserved better."

    14. Serena and Dan were a better couple than Serena and Nate.

    The CW

"Serena and Dan always had so much chemistry between them, and all of their other relationships weren't as good in my eyes. Nate and Serena felt forced."

    15. Nate's cousin Tripp should have had his own spinoff.

    The CW

"Tripp was hands down the most attractive guy on the show. I wish there had been a spinoff just about Tripp and Nate. I wish they’d explored his and Nate’s rivalry more."

    16. Gossip Girl just shouldn't have been revealed at all.

    The CW

    17. Dan and Serena sharing a half brother wasn't that big of a deal.

    The CW

    18. And last but not least...the last season should have been a murder mystery.

    Woods Entertainment

"They should have introduced a Scream-style serial killer in the final season and killed off literally everyone except Dorota and Cyrus."
