Nineteen years ago, Ethan Hunt made a panicked phone call in Mission: Impossible. Earlier this summer, he made a similar phone call in the franchise's fifth film. Except this time, we got to see the other side of the call.
Remember? Ethan's whole team had just been, ya know, murdered. So he called in and had to make sure the line was secure.
Well, he makes a similar call in Rogue Nation, and it's the exact same dialogue we get in the 1996 film. But this time, we get to see the receiving end.
And that's not the only easter egg the Mission team planted for fans.
