We recently asked members of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us the hardest part about being a younger sibling. Here are the brilliant results.
1. Your opinions are never taken as seriously because you're the youngest of the family.
2. As a kid, you got stuck with your older sibling's worn-out hand-me-downs.

3. Your older sibling is ~always~ right about everything, and there's no proving them wrong.
4. If you have an older brother, he always used you as a rag doll for extreme wrestling moves.
5. And if you have an older sister, she probably used you to make you perform a dance routine at family events.
6. Because they're always so controlling, it's almost as if they're your third parent and not just a sibling.
7. And they never do anything wrong, at least in your parents' eyes, which confuses you to death.
8. Always being referred to as "so-and-so's little brother/sister" is extremely irritating.
9. But it's even worse when your parents call you by the wrong name.
10. You always fought for power over the remote control... And lost every single time.
11. If you have siblings who are significantly older than you, you felt like an only child because they were married by the time you were in kindergarten.
12. Your older siblings always made you sit in the middle seat of the car on road trips, and it was the worst.
13. If your friends are sexually attracted to them, hangouts at your house are extremely awkward.
14. And it's even more uncomfortable when they threaten to ask your sibling out on a date.
15. There aren't enough pictures of you as a baby because your parents wasted their picture energy on the firstborn.
16. Being forced to lie to your parents when your older sister went out on a school night was extremely stressful.
17. You're always the last person to find out about major family news...
18. ...either because people think you're too delicate to handle it or they just forget about you entirely.
19. You're constantly being compared to your sibling, no matter how old you are...
20. ...which means the teachers who also taught your brother or sister always had high expectations for you.
21. You hated when your parents went out to dinner because that meant your older sibling was in charge for the night.
22. You weren't allowed to do the cool things your brother and sister did until you were their age, and it was super annoying.
23. Your siblings are experts at controlling you and forcing you to do ridiculous things.
24. And for some reason, you totally missed them when they went off to college, and it sort of felt like the world was ending.
25. 'Cause even though they drive you absolutely crazy, you'd be totally lost without them.
