Their backstory: In a recent appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Shawn went into detail about how his friendship with Matthew started. He said, "I'm pretty sure I forced this relationship on you — I messaged him a few times on Instagram, I asked for his phone number, and then I got a call. I was in desperate need of advice, and that's how the friendship started."
2. Mariah Carey and Millie Bobby Brown

Their backstory: Mariah and Millie met for the first time in 2019 because Mariah's kiddos — Roc and Roe — are huge fans of Millie and Stranger Things. The two legends have been pals for over a year now, and Millie even visited Mariah's house a few months ago.
3. Jack McBrayer and Alexander Skarsgård

Their backstory: Alexander and Jack were neighbors in Los Angeles around the time Alexander was on True Blood. In a 2019 interview, he revealed the pretty unusual way his friendship with Jack started: "[Jack] had a telescope fixed on my house that was on the other side of a canyon. ... I didn't have a TV when I moved in, [so] after a couple of months I got one — when I turned it on, I got a phone call a second [later], and [Jack said], 'You got a television.'"
4. David Beckham and Snoop Dogg

Their backstory: Snoop Dogg and David Beckham became good friends when David moved to LA in the late 2010s. Apparently, he was the first person to ever listen to Snoop's 2009 album, Malice n Wonderland.
5. Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra
Their backstory: Meghan and Priyanka connected at an Elle dinner celebrating women in TV back in 2016 and have stayed friends ever since. Priyanka even attended Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
In a 2016 interview with the Indian Express, Meghan talked about her close friendship with Priyanka: "You know when you meet someone and you just click? It was just an easy, natural progression. We've managed to keep in touch via email and text, and try to see each other whenever we're both in the same town."
6. Judge Judy Sheindlin and Samuel L. Jackson

Their backstory: Samuel and Judge Judy met a while back through Samuel's agent and have spent countless years hanging out together (mostly over dinner). Judge Judy even helped Samuel quit smoking — on WWHL in 2017, he said, "We used to smoke together, and when Judy stopped smoking, she made me stop smoking. She sent me to her doctor in White Plains, who actually treats you with sodium thiopental, and I quit."
7. Zach Braff and Harry Styles

Their backstory: On WWHL in 2014, Zach told Andy Cohen, "I met Harry through mutual friends, and he's a super-nice guy — he was cool enough to come to Sundance to see [Wish I Was Here], and then he tweeted out that he cried during the movie, and then it went viral."
8. Leah Remini and Jennifer Lopez

Their backstory: Jennifer and Leah were suuuuper-tight buds before starring in Second Act together in 2018. Jennifer's ex-husband Marc Anthony introduced the two New York natives at the movie premiere for Man on Fire in 2004.
While promoting Second Act with Leah, Jennifer reminisced about meeting for the first time: "Her and Angelo [Leah's husband] came to the premiere and we instantly fell in love — we fell in love! That's the real love story here. Me and Marc broke up, and you and me stayed together!"
9. Adam Levine and Jonah Hill

Their backstory: Adam and Jonah grew up together in Los Angeles and have remained close to this day. In 2016, Hill appeared on The Howard Stern Show and described what it was like to officiate at his childhood BFF's wedding: "The joke I wrote was like, 'Adam and I grew up together. It's so nice to see all the people we grew up skateboarding with ― like Stevie Nicks and Robert Downey Jr.' I was giving him shit because he had really famous people at his wedding."

Their backstory: Lenny and Gina went to the same high school in Los Angeles, along with another famous classmate, Nicolas Cage (then Nicolas Coppola). They were involved in school plays together, like Oklahoma, with Gina in the lead acting role and Lenny playing drums in the pit.
They've stayed close over the years — Gina even appeared as Lenny's girlfriend in his music video "Again" in the early 2000s.
11. Isla Fisher and Courteney Cox

Their backstory: Courteney and Isla met at David Spade's birthday party about 17 years ago, and they've remained good friends. Over the years, they've celebrated birthdays and holidays together and even let loose at karaoke.
12. Matt Damon and Jimmy Kimmel

Their backstory: Jimmy and Matt have participated in a playful feud with each other for about 13 years. The two constantly "bash heads" in fake fights everywhere they go, whether it's during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live or at an awards show. It's honestly pretty entertaining.
13. Connie Britton and Lauren Graham

Their backstory: Before they made it big in TV and movies, Connie and Lauren met at an acting class in New York City — and they eventually became roommates once they moved to Los Angeles. At Vulture Fest in 2015, Connie said, "We had a friend who was going through a divorce, so she had a house that was mostly empty. Thankfully, there were a couple of bedrooms with a couple of beds in them, so we were set!"
14. Jenifer Lewis and Shangela

Their backstory: Before they moved in together and starred in a hilarious YouTube series, Shangela was Jenifer's assistant. In a recent interview for Shadow and Act, Shangela reminisced about their journey: "I sometimes look back on the fact that we're friends and that we live in the same place, and I'm just so thankful to the universe and to God that she saw something in me to be a friend with. I'm thankful to her for being a mentor for me."
15. And Ed Sheeran and Courteney Cox
Their backstory: Ed used to live at Courteney's house back in 2014. He told the Sun, "There was no rent, but I made the bed and cups of tea and things like that." He even introduced Courteney to her partner of seven years, Johnny McDaid.
