This Woman's Emotional Message To Her Mom After Graduating College Will Make You Weep

    Please meet Ramla Tyrow, 21, from London. Tyrow just graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in psychology and counseling.

    After her graduation ceremony, Tyrow tweeted this now-viral video of her and her mother with the caption "Mama you ran from a civil war so I could be safe & get the education you didn't. Today you cried when you saw me in my robe. Did it for you."

    OMG my tears are flowing.

    "It [the graduation] went by so fast. My mom was really emotional because I am the first member of my family to graduate from college," Tyrow told BuzzFeed.

    Tyrow and her family are orginally from Somalia. In 1999 they fled to London to escape the Somali Civil War. She still lives in London with her mom and seven siblings.

    "My mum had me pretty young, so she never had to the chance to get the same degree of education that we did here," Tyrow said. "She hasn’t seen someone close to her graduate so for it be her daughter was emotional."

    Her video was retweeted nearly 30,000 times in less than a day, and people were quick to show their love and support of the recent grad. Some also cried — because, um, HOW COULD YOU NOT?

    As for Tyrow's next steps, she says she's going to take some time to herself and focus on her role at BKChat London, a popular debate show on YouTube covering current topics.
