    1. A rosehip oil for tackling (and DEFEATING!!!) your skin's biggest frustrations: Dryness, flakiness, redness, breakouts — you name it. They don't stand a chance when ~faced~ with this.

Promising review: "I was in desperate need of something to help my skin because I was breaking out like crazy (graduating college senior moving between three different states during this global pandemic-what can I say?😂) I started using this and noticed my skin was breaking out a little bit. My first thought, 'Great. Another product that didn’t work for me.' But, I was committed to seeing if it was just going to get worse before it gets better. I was right. I have been using this religiously for a month straight at night and I have seen my hormonal acne improved drastically. Don’t be afraid if your skin gets a little worse like mine did. It was just hidden potential." —Katie

Get it from Amazon for $14.95.

    2. An ~out-of-this-world~ eyeshadow palette that offers up 21 stellar shades similar to that of Urban Decay's Born to Run. We love to save some money, yes we doooo.

Promising review: "This palette is so pretty! Defiantly a dupe for the Urban Decay palette. The pigmentation is more vibrant on a good eyeshadow base (like concealer or primer) but obviously what shadows aren't. For the money of this palette though you really get a great deal. I have tried plenty of eyeshadow palettes in my time and i would consider the formula to be higher in quality." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon from $11.99.

    3. A Glossier Boy Brow to make thickening, filling in, and grooming your brows easier than ever. The tinted gel formula and mascara-like wand do it all with just one swipe!

    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed editor AnaMaria swears by this stuff. You can read her review below, but check out her full in, Just 9 Glossier Products We Really Love.

"This magic bottle is proof that not all heroes wear capes. The creamy formula, which comes in blond, black, clear, and brown (which is what I used!), goes on smoothly and doesn’t require a lot of product to do the job. I used the wand to brush baby hairs in the beginning/middle of my brow upwards, and then brushed the longer, toddler-like hairs at the end of my eyebrows, sideways. And one coat was more than enough! Boy Brow does what exactly what the Glossier brand claims to do; it gives me a filled-in eyebrow that doesn’t look filled in. The finish looks natural, which is exactly what I wanted — my facial caterpillars have never looked better." —AnaMaria Glavan

Get it from Glossier for $16 (available in four shades).

    4. A blue shampoo to tone down unwanted orange hues in hair so your mane keeps the vibrant, natural color from your last visit — you know, which means less pricey touchups!

before/after of customer's hair. before photo shows orange-toned highlights and after shows less brassy coloring.

Promising review: "I was skeptical but now I’m a believer! My hair is naturally dark brown and bleaching always leaves it very brassy. I tried purple shampoo with no avail but this really seems to help tone down the orange. Now, it does not lighten of course but it really takes my hair to a more true honey-beige shade. As a plus, it makes my nails super white. Goes without saying that you should rinse the shower once done to avoid blue spots on white tile." —KH

Get it from Amazon for $10.91.

    5. A hard-workin' curling wand that's so cheap, you'll wonder why you ever spent money on a blowout. It'll give you effortless waves in a matter of minutes.

Two reviewers that used the wand to style their hair with loose waves /

Promising review: "This just might be my favorite of the six curling wands I own. What I love about this one is that it makes natural-like curls. Natural curly hair isn't perfect and uniform and this gives that spiral natural yet beachy curly girl look. It heats up fast and is easy to wind your hair around. I hold my medium textured long hair on the wand for a total count of seven seconds and release. Hold the blue handle in the up position and just wrap your one to two inch section of hair around it." —Karli E.

Get it from Amazon for $26.29.

    6. An at-home eyebrow tint kit so you can achieve gorgeous, fuller-looking brows right in your own bathroom. Not having to leave the house? That's a win-win in my book!

four progression photos of a reviewer applying the dye. after photo shows fuller looking brows.

Promising review: "WHERE HAS THIS PRODUCT BEEN?! I’ve spent the past few years filling in my eyebrows daily. It’s been a battle to keep them looking full, but still natural and not over done. The entire process from opening the box until washing it off was about 15 minutes. Directions were super simple and easy to follow. The capsule opened easily and I was able to re-cap it for future use since I didn’t even use half. Mixed and applied well. I read other reviews that stated six minutes worked best so that’s what I did and it was perfect for my brows. I hope this last for at least a couple weeks but if not I will update." —Heather Lespinasse

Get the medium-brown from Amazon for $20.95 (also available in dark brown and light brown).

    7. A highlighter that'll do nothing but leave behind a buttery shimmer you can build up for a look that truly SPARKLES.,

Promising review: "One of the best highlighters I have ever used. It is really creamy and catches the light beautifully. I usually wear more natural makeup and I find that if I apply with a fan brush and then run it in with my fingers it’s not so bright. This being said, I found that I can also build it up into a really intense color/ highlight when I want to. Also, in my opinion, it lays really nicely on top of both powder and liquid foundation. No complaints." —Krysten L

Get it from Amazon for $6.01+ (available in four shades).

    8. A powerful nail strengthener formulated with hydrolyzed wheat protein and calcium to prevent breakage and make your nails harder and longer. It can be used by itself as a stand-alone treatment or as a base coat alternative.

Promising review: "I love this nail strengthener!! When my nails were destroyed from gel polish, this easily made my nails more stronger and longer in about three months! The proof is in the pictures! This stuff is AMAZING." —Cierra Lewis

Get it from Amazon for $17.95.

    9. A set of foam rods that'll give your mane a break from the heat while still delivering beachy waves that require little effort on your part. Really, you could put these things in and then head straight back to the couch.

Promising review: "I absolutely love these!!! I was skeptical at first and now they are part of my every night routine. I love having carefree curls that last as long as I do without having to put heat on my already dry from bleaching hair. I would recommend these for any and everyone who is tired of the heat and the smell of a traditional curling iron or wand. I will never go back!" —ZombieCakez

Get it from Amazon for $12.99.

Read our complete write up on these no-heat hair rods.

    10. A leave-in detangling therapy for natural curls, coils, and waves to remedy those painful knots and tangles. The shea butter and olive oil formula works together to restore moisture so your brush glides through instead of catching on every. single. knot. Ouch.

reviewer image of curls looking hydrated and healthy after using formula

Promising review: "This. Is. LIFE! Seriously. I am Black, with 4C hair that has the tightest coils on the planet! I struggle to retain moisture in my hair. If you need something to truly moisturize your hair and keep it moisturized this is your product! My hair is soft, them c u r l s spring back like they are reborn again. We call this that SNAP BACK! It tames frizz, thickens, moisturizers, and softens! I diluted two tbsp of the product with a cup of water, put it in a spray bottle and use it as a leave in. This stuff is miracle in a bottle!!!! —Shonda C.

Get it from Amazon for $6.97.

    11. A splurge-worthy primer to coat individual lashes and form the perfect base for your mascara to glide on so your lashes appear fuller and longer...which means you can trick everyone into thinking you're wide awake.

Marc Jacob's Velvet lash primer on model showing a noticeable difference in length after applied

Oh, and its hydrating formula ensures brittleness and dryness stay far, far away for your eyelashes!

Promising review: "This new primer is amazing for a false lash look! I was amazed. It gives instant results, is easy to apply, and has tons of vitamins to condition your lashes while giving you that amazing eyelash extension look!!! It doesn’t leave clumps, which is huge for me! So in love with this product!!" —JulijanaG

Get it from Sephora for $26.

    12. And! A cult-favorite mascara to add volume and length to your lashes with a few flicks of the wrist, making those minimal makeup days even easier.

Reviewer's before/after pic using the mascara. The after pic shows longer, fuller-looking lashes.

Promising review: I absolutely LOVE this mascara. I have very sensitive eyes and am highly devoted to my trusted brands. When a friend suggested this mascara I was curious, as she loved it. For the price point and how good it looked on her eyes, I thought why not. Holy moly. I'm in love. It makes my lashes longer, — looks like I'm natural but better — and has a thinner formula so it looks like I have a billion gorgeous lashes, and looks the same all day long. I cannot recommend this enough. It doesn't rub during the day and give me that black eye look. It's wonderful. Must buy. —Katherine Ochsman

Get it from Amazon for $12.95.

    13. A magical serum featuring a slew of ingredients to help treat dark spots. Vitamin C will give the skin a boost of brightness, while shiitake mushrooms fade dark spots, and sqaulane tops it all off to lock in hydration.

customer's before/after pic with before photo showing dark spots, possibly left behind from acne. after photo shows the spots have significantly faded.

Promising review: "Okay I know $60+ might seem a little much but it is really great. The quality is worth the price. It’s hydrating, showed a difference with the first two weeks and it wasn’t greasy at all. I would definitely recommend!" —Mandiie M.

Get it from Biossance for $62.

    14. A "Goof Proof" brow pencil — your ~foolproof~ way to fill in your brows with minimal effort, even if you're not a professional makeup artist (sooo...most of us!). One side defines and fills while the other effortlessly blends — and that's it! Just like that, you're done.

Promising review: "I really like this product because it's very easy to use and looks very natural. I'm not really good at putting make up on especially when it comes to putting eyebrows but this brow pencil helps me a lot. Good for beginner. I bought 10 of these and still using them. A must try!" —AlexisMatias

Get it from Sephora for $24 (available in 12 shades).

    15. A pack of pimple patches for when you feel a zit (or ZITS) comin' on. Just apply over the bump and the patch will draw out sebum and reduce irritation like some type of skin sorcery. I mean, just look at these results. LOOK AT THEM!

Multiple patches from a reviewer showing all of the sebum that was drawn from the skin

Promising review: "Last night, I put these on a few acne problems (a small cyst, a whitehead, and a pimple). I just woke up and am writing this review in disbelief. THEY'RE FLAT! Gone! All of them! I could cry I’m so happy. The packaging is ideal because you can easily peel the stickers off without stretching them out or folding them back onto themselves. Do yourself and your complexion a huge favor! Have these on hand for a stubborn zit when you really need help. Make sure you apply them to completely clean and dry skin." —Caitlyn

BuzzFeed's Bek O' Connell's before/after pic showing noticeably healthier looking hair
    Bek O' Connell / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "This stuff is amazing! I saw this as a beauty recommendation on BuzzFeed as a dupe for Opalex (which I had tried and wasn't blown away by) so I thought I would give it a try — and I'm so thankful I did! My bleached and heat damaged hair feels so soft, is more manageable, and looks healthier after each use. I agree with other reviewers that it seems like a big price tag for the size of the bottle, but a little bit does go a long way and it is so worth it. I wish it came in a larger size bottle so I didn't have to reorder so quickly." —Carly S. Whitson

Image of reviewer swatching different makeups on arm and then removing them all with a makeup cloth

Promising review: "I was skeptical of these, but now I'm pretty sure they're what Mulan's outfit was made of when she wiped her makeup off on her sleeve in the movie. Even totally dry, they're pretty impressive at taking all of my makeup (including waterproof eyeliner and mascara) in a couple swipes. I like to use a little micellar water to make my skin feel a little cleaner. It's nice not to burn through so many cotton pads." —RachelM

    19. And! A razor subscription service that'll deliver you some of the best razors out there, and then replacement shave heads at a frequency that's best for your lifestyle.

    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

I, along with MANY of my coworkers swear by this stuff. We wrote an entire love letter about Billie razors, which you can read all about here, but here's a little blurb:

"I have VERY sensitive skin. As in, I so much as LOOK at a dull blade and suddenly I'm on a one-way trip to little red bumps. Until Billie, I had kind of just accepted that my bikini line was never going to be ~perfectly smooth~ no matter what. And yet! When I started shaving with these razors, I immediately noticed how comfortable the whole experience was. I'll be honest and say I rarely use shaving cream (very responsible for someone with sensitive skin!) and it doesn't even MATTER. The blades never nick me and I've actually seen fewer and fewer bumps, even in my ~most sensitive~ areas. I credit its charcoal shave soap that encases the five (!!!) blades so if you 'forget' cream, you'll still get super smooth results. I'm pretty confident in saying if a total klutz like me has yet to do damage with these bb's, than everyone can benefit from these." —Emma McAnaw

Get razor starter kit from Billie starting at $9 (available in five handle colors).

    20. A wildly popular hair straightener (it has 38,000+ reviews!) for smoothing out the toughest kinks and leaving behind super silky strands.

Promising review: "This is the holy grail, guys. They’ve done it. They’ve made a flat iron that can control the beast (my hair) 10 times better than my Chi Iron, and I can get my hair done in about 20 minutes now. FYI, I’m mixed (black/white) with EXTREMELY thick/coarse hair. And I relax and dye it." —Tiffany Baker

    21. A liquid eyeliner that won't budge, smear, flake, or fade even when the day throws rain, tears, and humidity at you. This is my holy grail product — really, this is me:

BuzzFeed editor Kayla Suazo's before/after pic showing the eyeliner still in tact at night after a workout and all day of wear
    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

I love the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner so much, I wrote an entire review on it. You can see the entire thing here.

Promising review: "I've been having a pretty rough semester at college, but knowing I can put on this beautiful, heavenly black liquid on my eyes every morning gets me motivated. The godlike precision that this eyeliner provides is the only thing that's consistent in my life. And let's not forget to mention the staying power. Whether I'm crying from stressed induced panic or having a long day: this eyeliner never runs or moves. It stays true to color all day without having to reapply. Worth the money, because it's not just liquid liner, it's a friend." —tabsoda

Reviewer's before pic at 7 am and after pic at 5 pm showing little eyeshadow smudging and fading /

Promising review: "So let me start by saying I have used nearly every eyeshadow primer available. From high-end to low — Mac, Lorac, Urban Decay...they don't hold a candle to Thank Me Later. I have very oily skin. I use this primer and my shadow lasts a full eight hours or more. I could get maybe five or six out of the other brands, if I'm lucky. I got this as a sample in my Ipsy bag, and I had to buy the full-size product straight away! I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Thank you Elizabeth Mott for finally making a primer that lasts! I love this stuff!" —Melissa Mae

Get it from Amazon for $13.48.

    23. A Maybelline concealer featuring a sponge-tip applicator to cover up dark spots with total ease. Really, the sponge does most of the work for you — you just have to dab, dab, dab, and you're done.

Model's before/after pic using the concealer to cover up dark circles and brighten up under the eyes

I am a die-hard fan of this product, and believe it deserves a place in everyone's makeup bag. You can read my full review of the Maybelline Age Rewind Concelear.

Promising review: “This product is fantastic. I really like the applicator because it makes the process so quick and clean. I only need to twist it three or four clicks to get enough product on the sponge tip, then I dot it on my dark circles and blend it in with a finger. It takes about 20 seconds to use this, and a little goes a long way.” —Kristin

Get it from Amazon for $7.98+ (available in 18 shades).

    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

This is one of my favorite foundations (that's my face in the photos!), and I wrote all about it here (it's #1).

Promising review: "This long-lasting foundation is my go-to, whether it be going to work or a night out. I absolutely love the coverage it provides. I have an oily forehead but drier skin otherwise and it provides a full, matte finish to my face without cracking/creasing or coming off. Can't see myself switching to another product for a while." —Jenny

Get it from Tarte for $39 (available in 40 shades).

    25. A hand cream for repairing blisters, cracked skin, and whatever else your poor hands have been subjected to by boosting moisture levels and then sealing that same moisture in for dear life.

Reviewer's before/after pic using O'Keefe's hand cream. The before pic shows severe cracks in the fingers and knuckles, and the after pic shows much smoother, healed hands.

Promising review: "Does this product need another five star review? Nope. But I had to. This is truly a miracle product!! I have the driest skin in the winter. To the point I will look down at my hands to notice they are bleeding from all the various cracks. This product made a major difference after just one using! Here I am weeks later and my hands have no cracks, look younger and are no longer red. Can O'Keefe's fix potholes too!?!" —P. Neuber

Get it from Amazon for $7.99.

    26. A thermal spray that works double time as a heat-protecting spray and leave-in conditioning serum, so next time you put your hair through a styling session, you'll literally see and feel the difference.

Reviewer's before/after pic using the thermal spray. The after pic shows sleek shiny hair after styling.

Promising review: "I’ve tried a lot of heat protectors and straighteners, but this is the best one yet. It doesn’t make my hair difficult to brush or sticky, like many of them. My hair is so soft and conditioned, and straightens very easily. I don’t even think it’s meant to be a straightening product, but when you have thick curly hair, it still makes the process sooo much easier. I love the fine mist too. I washed and sprayed my hair, then went to bed, and in the morning I finished blow drying (if you have curls, you know they don't dry completely overnight, lol) and flat ironed. Beautiful results! I’ll be reordering for sure." —luckydb16

Get it from Amazon for $15.55.

    27. A dry shampoo POWDER (!!) so you can ditch the shower on late mornings and achieve hair that *looks* like it just got a fresh wash. Hey, nobody has to know it's going on day three...or five.

Reviewer's before/after pic using the powder on their bangs, which shows less shiny/greasy hair

Promising review: "It makes my bangs and roots look fresh again. And I love that this is a powder and not a stinky aerosol spray. That also means that this lasts MUCH longer. I use it every other day when I don't wash my hair since I have very oily roots. I've been using it for almost a month and barely any is missing out of the bottle. A little goes a long way." —Rachel G.

Get it from Amazon for $9.99.

    28. A hot air brush to make it look like you just walked straight into a salon and dropped some serious money on a blowout. Here's to having (inexpensive) gorgeous soft waves and volume for days.,

Promising review: "THIS PRODUCT IS TRULY EVERYTHING!!! It is light-weight making it very easy to hold, the heat temperature on high is perfect — it's perfect to style hair without causing heat damage), the bristles are soft so hair slides through and there's no breakage at all. The feature that I LOVE is that it has a cool setting to let curls cool down before releasing them (no need to use hot rollers). CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS HAIR TOOL. How I use it: I use the high setting on the roots all the way down to the ends, I rolled up the ends and leave it there for about 20 seconds (high setting) and then I put the cool setting on for about 10 seconds, then I start unrolling the brush and gently remove it to reveal bouncy & natural looking curls. SIMPLY AMAZING!!!" —FashionChic
