"For me watching her walk down the aisle was by far the most emotional memory because everything that I had been through, the heartbreaks and obstacles, all became worth it in that moment, I had waited so long to find her and it's finally happened for me.

It was probably the best feeling in the world to read our vows and confess our love for one another in front of our family and friends. The support and love from everyone around us was so overwhelmingly amazing. Everybody deserves to find their person in this world, and I can't express the feeling it is to say I'm married to her."

"In these days of dating apps and constant relocation, I think a part of all of us can wonder if true love is gone forever. But our pessimistic generation is wrong, love is everywhere around us.

A lot people have asked me how we could move forward so quickly in such a short period of time. My answer again is very simple: When you know, you know. From the moment I saw you, my soul knew. Our love is something that transcends words and transcends explanation. It is something that feels right, that vibrates truth in every part of my being. For you and with you, I know true love and I always will.

I feel blessed to have found the person who shares and encourages my values and goals in life. You are my main anchor and the good things in life are better with you. "We felt really lucky to be able to celebrate our love in such a public way. Not only did we have the wedding of our dreams, but our marriage is legal and recognized by the state. We wouldn’t have been able to do that if it wasn’t for all of the men and women who came before us and fought for equal rights. They sacrificed so much so that we could get married. It really just made our wedding day that much sweeter to know that we were standing there because love won."

"Our wedding day synchronistically was the day after the Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality, which simply added to the deep meaning of our marriage and the civil right offered to same-sex couples nationwide.

The rain on our wedding day brought all in attendance closer, brought out the vibrant colors around us, and offered us a picture that captures our spontaneity, playfulness, and absolute joy discovered in our togetherness. "In our relationship, Anthony is the thoughtful, serious one, and I am always ridiculously extra. He wore a sensible grey suit and I wore nine brooches and had two costume changes. Surprisingly, on our wedding day, his vows included the full lyrics to Bob's Burgers' 'Thanksgiving Song,' while mine was a tearful tribute the long battles so many people have fought to get us to this point.

Pride Month is incredibly important to us because even though we have been working 15 years towards the right to marry, so many others have fought and died for decades to see LGBTQ Americans treated with dignity. We must also now continue to advocate for rights above and beyond marriage. June is doubly significant because in 1967, Richard and Mildred Loving won their Supreme Court case to make our interracial marriage possible."

"We had a small, intimate wedding surrounded by friends who traveled from Brazil, Canada, the US, and the UK. It was an unreal feeling to have friends from all over the world travel to Toronto to celebrate with us.

We met three years ago in Montreal while Leo was traveling, and although we had such a good connection, we never imagined we could have a relationship. We've always traveled to different cities to see each other, but getting married just felt like the beginning of a life together."

"We’d been together for over four years when Ben proposed. We share a birthday (both Sept. 13, but two years apart). Ben used our 2015 birthday as a guise, organising a night away at Woodman Estate in Moorooduc on the Mornington Peninsula.

On arrival, we set up a picnic on the balcony overlooking the lake and cracked open a bottle of sparkling. Ben got up and changed the music, then came back outside with his British passport in hand, got down on one knee and proposed with our wedding bands (identical, even when they were resized)."
