Promising review: "I found this product through a BuzzFeed article for those with frizzy hair and THIS PRODUCT DID NOT DISAPPOINT PEOPLE! I put this serum through the ringer; I got this to stand up to Bay Area fog AND the nasty, humid heat wave we got a couple weeks ago. No frizz, no extra curls. Nothing! On top of that, it made my hair super glossy. I'm very impressed. Heads up though, a little goes a long way. One pump is enough to cover my hair and I have medium length hair. Also, it can make your hair look oily if you use too much. I do have oily hair so working on my ends first then working to my roots works for me." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "I love this shampoo! I had gastric sleeve surgery and my hair was very, very thin. I started taking biotin and switched to biotin shampoo as recommended by my doctor. It doesn’t make your hair grow by washing it but it makes your hair and roots stronger. And it worked. After using the whole bottle, my hair was stronger. I had a lot of new growth that was sticking around (the previous new growth fell out early on) and my hair was getting thicker. Eight months later, my hair is back to normal. It's longer and thicker than ever. I still use it twice a week and love it! I’m not crazy about the way it smells but others love it when they smell my hair." —Diane J. Huff

Promising Review: "I love love love this hair mask! It makes my hair so healthy and so shiny. It smells amazing and makes your hair feel even better. The best hair mask I ever tried. I shampoo my hair, towel dry it, then apply the mask and comb my hair, leave it over night and wash it in the morning, followed by conditioner. Highly recommended." —Elisamar1

Ever since I started using a microfiber hair towel, I hardly ever use a blow dryer anymore. I'd rather not add heat to my curly hair unless totally necessary, so I'll wash my hair at night, wrap it in a microfiber towel and let it dry on it's own. It helps my curls feel much healthier — and it keeps my hair out of the way while I'm doing my skincare routine.
Promising Review: "If you have naturally curly hair, you need this towel! I don't know what is at work but it definitely reduces frizz and my curls come out much nicer after using this towel. It would be even better if the towel was a smidge larger so it would feel more secure while wrapped around my head. Even so, it's a great product and I recommend it to my curly haired friends." —KShats

Promising review: "This stuff is absolutely amazing. I was one step away from going to the dermatologist. I had severe dandruff that was so bad I could shake my head and it would come off. With just a few uses per week, I got rid of all of my flakes. My scalp also stopped burning from dryness. My hair has never been healthier." —Moo Moo

Promising review: "My hair used to be really soft, and then I discovered hot tools and hair dye. While my hair looks good I really missed the soft texture. This works so well. There are no instructions on the box but I washed my hair with my usual shampoo, towel dried it, worked about two quarter-sized dollops through my hair, let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinsed out. I went to bed with wet hair which usually results in my hair being kind of tangled and rough looking but I woke up and my hair was as soft and silky as it was before I started coloring it. I'm totally in love with this product, I have long fine hair but this doesn't leave it greasy or weigh it down. I'll definitely buy again." —Ellie

Alikay Naturals is a Black woman-owned brand sold in retailers all over the world. The brand uses Caribbean-inspired ingredients to create not only natural hair products, but feminine products, baby products, candles, and more.
Promising review: "I originally ordered the 8 -ounce of this and as soon as I finished I ordered the larger size. This is very moisturizing. It soaks into my hair and keeps it moisturized. I use this in conjunction with the Growth Oil and Shea Yogurt for amazing twist out results. The consistency is thicker than water and it smells like lemongrass. My only complaint is the nozzle on the spray bottle. It shoots out in a stream instead of a mist. That is the only reason this does not get 5 stars because I feel like the nozzle wastes unnecessary product." —Lakesha Ellard

Promising review: "This just might be my favorite of the six curling wands I own. What I love about this one is that it makes natural-like curls. Natural curly hair isn't perfect and uniform and this gives that spiral natural yet beachy curly girl look. It heats up fast and is easy to wind your hair around. I hold my medium textured long hair on the wand for a total count of seven seconds and release. Hold the blue handle in the up position and just wrap your one to two inch section of hair around it." —Karli E.

Promising review: "This stuff is a godsend! I used to have red hair and decided to get a blonde balayage. It took two visits to get my hair lightened to where it looked blonde and not gold, but it still had lots of gold in it. Now my hair is finally blonde and not gold! I’m so happy! Plus this stuff smells amazing and makes my hair so soft and shiny and voluminous with lots of body!" —KatEd

Clarifying shampoos can dry out your skin if you use them too often, so we recommend only using it once a week!
Promising review: "This shampoo removed months/years of product build-up in my hair that I didn't even know I had. After just one wash, my hair felt lighter, finer, more voluminous, and I needed less styling products to achieve the same results. But be careful not to use this too often as it can dry out your hair. I have long, dark fine hair and I use this about once every two weeks, or once every four to five washes." —Katherine

Promising Review: "They're worth every dollar! It's not quite like any other hair tie I've seen before. It's really thick, very expandable, and super durable. I have thick, coarse, nappy, natural, African American hair and these certainly do the job! I don't care what type of hair you have or how much of it you got because these will do the job. And they won't rip out your hair while doing it." —Gracey

Promising review: "I’m obssesed with these! I have thick curly hair so rubber bands and the ribbon elastics always dent my hair. Even when I straighten my hair, those type of hair ties also dent my hair. With these coils, my hair is secure whether it’s straight or curly. When I remove it, my hair is easily fixed back into place. These do stretch out after you use it for a while, but it is easily fixed. If you blow dry them, the heat will cause it to shrink back to its original size and it is as good as new!" —Stephanie S.

Promising review: "The BEST detangler out there, and I have tried them all...even the expensive leave-in conditioners that say they detangle also. Bonus: your hair smells like those orange/vanilla popsicles that are so good. I have long, thick hair and I use a wide tooth comb after the shower. I spray this on all over and have zero trouble getting through my hair! So nice!" —Alyssa V

Promising review: "I am usually against putting product in my hair because it weighs it down and gets oily faster. I like my hair clean, dry and fluffy. But lately I haven’t had time to blow dry my hair, so I got this stuff. I always knew I had some wave in my hair, but this stuff really brings it out. Makes my hair almost curly! And when my hair dries and I comb it out it’s so voluminous and fluffy. I love this stuff. I went from looking like a drowned rat when I air dry my hair to actually looking presentable with air dried hair. I love this stuff!" —A. Normand

Promising review: "This is just what I wanted! Great for a scalp massage. I wanted a product that would not pull my hair, and did not have hard, plastic seams, to pull or damage my hair. This is it! Very relaxing, to use. It is light, and comfortable to hold. I don't have to worry, about straining my hands, trying to grip this. I can control the amount of pressure perfectly without scratching my scalp. I bought one for my mom, and two for me! Love these. This hair diffuser is ideal for curly and textured hair. It features 360 degree airflow, which helps it to diffuse your hair evenly and gently, giving curly hair maximum volume without all the frizz. It will also cut your drying time way down, no matter how thick your curls are.
Promising review: "I am thrilled with this diffuser! I have tried many similar products and this one does the job! The cup design is perfect for holding your hair while it diffuses it, helping to produce the volume and shape most girls with curly hair want. At the end of the fingers are openings where air flows and helps to dry the roots of your hair at the same time that it is diffusing the ends. The drying time is much shorter because of that feature." —JPJC

Promising review: "I had used dry shampoo a few years ago out of curiosity. It went fine but I didn't really think I needed it and never bought another can after that. I thought I would give it another shot after seeing these in a BuzzFeed post and reading rave reviews. They're all correct! I love this stuff and have no idea why I didn't keep using dry shampoo after that one experiment a few years ago. The spray comes out cool, so it's super refreshing, and I love how much thicker my hair feels when it's in. It also smells nice, and a can lasts a long time if you use it maybe once between hair washes (I wash my hair about every other day, but sometimes go a few days and will use this once or twice during those periods). I even bought a travel-size version of this for emergencies. Bless you, Batiste!!!" —Amanda Storey

Promising review: "I love this product! I have very naturally curly hair, so using products that have sulfates in it are a big no no because they will weigh down my curls. It is so hard to find a color care system that is sulfate-free, but this one is amazing. It smells great, it works really well, and best of all, no sulfates!" —kristens94

Promising review: "I have long, fine waving hair that tends to lose volume and curl a few hours after I wash them. I need volumizing products and hairspray that holds my style and 'keeps' all day or at least longer than usual. This product gives volume and lift without falling flat and adding weight after a few hours; holds well in wind and humidity, so far it's the best hair spray I've ever used. Highly recommend." —Rose H.
